Poll: Would you come back next year??

First of all, I would like to thank ALL of you Hardcore Rotorheads for coming to DGRR 2008!

Also I would like to thank all the Vendors for sponsoring and coming out to this TINY event called DGRR... Especially the guys from EXEDY USA.

Well, Like past 3 years, I'm once again in a debate about if I want to organize it again or not:)... I have to say, this year went so smooth, I'm 90+% sure I'll organize it again (pending few minor details). Next year, I'm hoping to bring Jim Downing and maybe Rick Engman to come to our event and maybe give us a seminar about rotary cars... who knows..

Anyhow, I wanted to see how many of you would come back next year...

DRTHVDR 04-15-2008 07:31 AM

I'm coming again....With or WITH-OUT an engine.

lt1_fd3s 04-15-2008 07:44 AM

i'm considering doing the whole event instead of just coming up on saturday...

zonblitz 04-15-2008 08:09 AM

Yes, I need to show everybody that the car is fixed... :)

Good to see ya again.

Yes I would go next year, and I am bringing something special that no one has seen.
I like the new place as it is much nicer, but miss being able to walk cabin to cabin from party to party.

Proxy One 04-15-2008 08:58 AM

You know im there Phil, FD or not as usual

85rx-7gsl-se 04-15-2008 09:04 AM

Is this a rhetorical question? :D

Nexcis 04-15-2008 09:09 AM

Now now Phil, you know I'll be there... already told you that you can count on my help! And yes, I'll be the first to sign up again!!!

Pourman 04-15-2008 09:24 AM

ABSOLUTELY !! ... I'll be there again Phil , and this time we talked about coming up an entire week early , to get some more runs in :) ... I'll try to bring the Gsl-Se next year too , as it's almost ready now ... let me know what I can do next time to help you out more too , I just stood around ALOT ;)

IH8DSM 04-15-2008 09:27 AM

definetly going to the next one had a blast.

Bryan@BNR 04-15-2008 11:02 AM

Me an the wife are definately in for next year. I will do a better job as a sponsor and bring some stuff for the raffle. Just maybe I will do a turbo seminar but I can't garrentee that :D.

blwnrtr93 04-15-2008 11:12 AM

I'll be back again next year. I really liked Nantahala despite the ongoing refurbishing/upgrading.

There is an unofficial interest thread in the Lounge.

khronus79 04-15-2008 11:14 AM

I was there before you even made this announcement

Herblenny 04-15-2008 11:18 AM

Definitely a better place than Fontana... I don't know how many of you heard this story.. but one of the DGRR attendee ran across one of the representative from Fontana and they want us back... I have to say, I like the guys at Nantahala so much better and made my life better at the event!!

I've requested that if they had some of the roads paved, we'll be EVEN happier!! We'll see how it goes:)

PHIL

Proxy One 04-15-2008 11:21 AM

I too am probably going to take even more time off next year, time goes by too fast when you are with good people having fun. Monday came too soon. :(

Pourman 04-15-2008 11:27 AM

We were standing next to the Girl from Fontana , when she was blasting the Nantahala Village  ... Unprofessional to say the least ... we looked at the Fontana place and drove through it , not bad , but I'm kinda diggin' the Nantahala Village , so I would go there again :) ... as far as that Girl from Fontana :nopity:

I'll def be back - I think we wont go so over the top with the cabin though. Paid full price for something that "had a hot tub" nobody said it wasnt installed yet!! The roads being paved would be a big bonus too. I didnt even feel like washing the car since it would just be dirty again the second I had to run back to the cabin!

Phil, I'm def down and should have the FC road worthy by then too!

jfaplanet 04-15-2008 02:21 PM

Again

 Yes Phil, I will be back, Thanks for putting on a great event as usual. I hope to have the other truck finished next year and have a car for Mel to drive the dragon. She wanted to this year but is just not that comfortable driving a standard yet. Hope to see you soon at a B'Ham or H'ville meet.

Pink Flea 04-15-2008 02:37 PM

Well they totaled the pink car sooo I will definately be there with my 8 next year!!

DRTHVDR 04-15-2008 03:02 PM

PHIL

Yeah, I miss Fontana in some ways. But the place is still there and we were able to go back and take pictures at the Dam and what not. However we loved Nantahala, it was very comfortable and the people there were nice and friendly. Not to mention a hell of a lot better bang for the buck! As far as the woman being unprofessional, I think she realized that they really messed up and was desperate to get the business back. But then again she didn't have to talk to us about another village at the same time. She gave us the business card and we just passed it on. :leaving:

My5ABaby 04-15-2008 03:07 PM

I'm not sure why this is even a poll... :D

YES!

buy it back from them!

g's 3rd gen 04-15-2008 03:56 PM

Can't wait till next year. The facilty and food were far superior. The drive to the dragon was a bit long but no bother driving w/ buddies to and from! The only thing was a lack of space for all the cars to be in one area for the gathering but not a big deal! Awesome time! G

No, the monkeys that escaped from the zoo... LOL
Yes the insurance company... and I am buying it back from them and fixing it up.

sumdeus 04-15-2008 05:14 PM

No doubt I will be back. It was my first time and it was definitely better than I hoped for.

ZGN 04-15-2008 06:02 PM

I love the Dragon. Amber and I will be there to help out in any way we can! A++ job to everyone!

88turbotime 04-15-2008 07:30 PM

I'll be there for sure! I kinda miss some things about fontana, such as having the cabins close together and being much closer to the gap, but then again Nantahala IS a much nicer place, and i rocked that hot tub like none other :D So either way, without question, I will be back next year. Thanks Phil!

2gslse 04-15-2008 08:05 PM

I had a good time and I will be back again. It was my first dgrr and I think all the planning that went into the event was done very well.

sinequanon 04-15-2008 08:07 PM

I'll totally be there next year...and will actually get to stay the whole weekend as well. Stupid work :o10:

20b 3rd gen 04-15-2008 08:24 PM

Well you know Im there, who else is going to park all those DAMN CARS!!! :)

Turbo II 04-15-2008 08:27 PM

^Nobody, we'll all be in jail for "exhibition of speed" or whatever the hell it was you guys got stopped for hah!

Unless something stupid comes up (like going to Japan!!!) I'll be there for another 4 day weekend as usual. The first year was fun and every one since then has just gotten better. I do wish Whatchamacallit Village was closer to the Dragon and people were closer to each other but the service, food and staff are worth the difference.

SPiN Racing 04-15-2008 09:58 PM

Without doubt I will be there.

Im going on a really strong limb here, but I believe Eviaviator will as well.

Soon as registration opens, Im in.

Pourman 04-15-2008 10:10 PM

I wish I had gotten a picture of all our cars pulled over , and the Cop in it too :) , Hahaa ... good times

20b 3rd gen 04-15-2008 10:32 PM

ZGN got a pic of the cop as he was bent over into zonblitz's car

Pourman 04-15-2008 10:35 PM

GOTTA have that one ... ZGN , send one to gatr1fred@cox.net
