Poll: Deciding on changing front bumper

Being that I'm doing some changes/repairs on the car. I am unhappy with the fiberglass bumper as even with normal driving (with the roads in louisiana) my FEED bumper cracks more than I'd like.

I am considering going with a oem 99 spec because I want a URETHANE bumper and this is the only choice besides oem 93.

Thoughts?

The rest of the FEED kit stays btw.

Nexcis 04-14-2008 01:36 PM

I'm partial to the 99 spec for obvious reasons, but I must say that I totally loved your car the way it was. I say stay with FEED and deal with the cracking... and yea, I know easier to say that when it's someone else's money paying for fixing the cracks.

Nexcis 04-14-2008 01:38 PM

.

i (non FD owner..) have always thought the 99 spec looks better than any body kit.

Nismo 04-14-2008 05:46 PM

A little crack never hurt anyone did it?

GorillaRE 04-14-2008 06:12 PM

The rest of the car is feed.....It's a no brainer man.

with him.^^

DOes Shineautoproject make any Feed parts? That would be a compromise. Feed and urethane.

Pourman 04-14-2008 07:17 PM

Personally , I like the FEED ;)

zonblitz 04-14-2008 07:18 PM

My bumper is from shine but still cracks.

I say have a urethane feed bumper made. Shine should be able to handle it

zonblitz 04-15-2008 08:14 AM

I wonder if that is an option.

Herblenny 04-15-2008 08:19 AM

Nope!! Shine can't do Urethane... Even when Chuck from RE did urethane bumper, it was too thick.. it needed too much work to get it smoothed out and not worth it.

Go with 99 if you want to drive the car..

I agree if you want to drive the car do 99 if its gonna be a straight show car go Feed.

Herblenny 04-15-2008 10:10 AM

Or buy another FD...

Proxy One 04-15-2008 11:23 AM

hehe, everybody cant be a baller extraordinaire like you Phil and have multiple FD's. Whould be nice though. If I could find a nice roller id probably do it.

zonblitz 04-15-2008 12:06 PM

well 99 spec costs ALOT more than the FEED from shine. Have to look at it from a few angles...

I can help you find a nice roller:):beatdeadhorse5:

zonblitz 04-15-2008 12:41 PM

LOL, no thx... one is enough.

David Jerome 04-15-2008 05:55 PM

I think the 99spec would be out of place on your car. I think the feed looks amazing on there and I dont really think any other bumper would look right. Go back with the feed and just deal with the cracking. :)

djmtsu 04-15-2008 06:22 PM

Can't you get a 99 Spec knockoff with the front plate holder removed like Garfinkles'?

I am pretty sure they aren't too bad, when you can find them.

20b 3rd gen 04-15-2008 08:32 PM

If you cant do urethane then I say go back with the FEED fiberglass no other bumper will look as good.

ROTORX7Holly 04-15-2008 09:50 PM

I voted FEED. It looked perfect before the accident.

My5ABaby 04-15-2008 09:52 PM

I voted FEED because it was definitely bringing the sexy.

zonblitz 04-15-2008 10:12 PM

I'm leaning to FEED because of the cost... I can buy 2 Feeds and have one kept pristine for shows... and still be cheaper than OEM 99 spec.

The other thing is, I love the FEED lenses.

Pourman 04-15-2008 10:15 PM

Get the FEED again ... Do It , Do It ... Do It http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y88...s/dooit3ht.gif

Phoenix7 04-15-2008 10:15 PM

that's your answer then. FEED.

zonblitz 04-15-2008 10:26 PM

Ok, FEED it is... decision made.

ROTORX7Holly 04-15-2008 10:29 PM

Yea!

Nutsid 04-16-2008 04:45 AM

lol I voted for 99 Spec Bumper, but what I meant was FEED. Good to see you decided on FEED,
