I wanted to share these photos with the FB community. This is 2GSLSE's 1985 GSL build. He brought the car out to my place this weekend after picking it up from final fabrication from Speed1 and our very own TitaniumTT. Those guys deserve the highest credit on this car. Its a very unique and helluva clean car.

It was literally "completed" earlier in May and is still undergoing break-in, more tuning and refinements. Its a 13BRE 9.4c rotors with very mild portwork by 2GSLSE. Apexi RX6 turbo system, custom VMIC, magnaflow exhaust, Haltech PS1000, and much more... I'll let those guys chime in if they want.

Once everything is buttoned up this thing will be a monster street car. Its so smooth! On wastegate (9psi IIRC) it made 336whp with a goal of 415-420whp on 15-16psi.

ANYWAY.. here are the pics. I'll post more up later, but I just though this car had to be shown off. TTT's work at Speed1 is top notch and 2GSLSE builds a solid motor...

My current one-liner for this car is "Its not as violent as the FD... but it's going to be"..

From what I can see it looks good, with good numbers. Any pics of the rest of the car?

Yea - but I need to clean them up a bit, was quick with the camera and they came out a bit blurred...

When everything is done the alternator/fanshroud and whatever else I see that needs it will be powdercoated black to match the manifolds.

Did you get your clutch situation resolved?

TitaniumTT 06-16-2012 06:35 PM

MC thinks it was spinning tires on the highway as it hasn't happened again. Car is back up in PA as of today :reddevil: He was early.... I was just waking up when he strolled in

On the list is AC install, dual rads, engine torque brace and tranny mount, and a custom TiTT AST/Overflow...... Oh... and full boost and >400rwhp :willy_nilly:

Love it. :hurray:

2gslse 06-16-2012 09:00 PM

The car has had traction issues already and has had a steep learning curve around town pulling off of side streets I have been used to a 12A with Ca. type emissions (slow as crap)now I touch the throttle in 1st its instant boost/tire spin/tach in the case (lots of fun!!!) second gear spins some depending on pavement type and temp, with any luck I will be able to spin them at 60mph when I pass someone LOL...

The car will always be a street car with ALL of the creature comforts installed A/C,cruise control, power everything and now with the power is should have been born with.

Brian, when you give it a good test drive let me know what you think.

TitaniumTT 06-16-2012 09:08 PM

Will do my friend... gonna have to drive it to find that dead spot in the TPS ;)
and thanks again for those OMP's... not sure if I'll have the time to get them working for LRP... need to build a new tank but I like my decel fuel cut so one will DEFINATELY be back on soon.... I turn it off for the races anyway.

I'm so happy the Cruise Control worked, that's awesome!

And here's the kicker... I ahd to run out earlier and man... she just looks so damn stock it's awesome. Love the exhaust tip too... perfect.

GySgtFrank 06-16-2012 09:27 PM

I REALLY need a ride in this thing. Glenn's going to be upset if you punch his ticket with an FB.

WE3RX7 06-16-2012 10:43 PM

Is it not a dead spot in the TPS? Tip-in adjustment?? Whatever it is... fix it :)

Glad it made the trip back to PA for the final round of adjustments and goodies... Can't wait to see it again....

TitaniumTT 06-17-2012 12:21 PM

Yup yup.... made it all the way up.... with the heat going.... sorry.

I tend to not think it's a dead spot in the TPS.... I tend to think that it's an accell enrichment adjustment. There were places in the map that MC got to that I just couldn't on the dyno because she is so damn light. The cruising for example. I know I couldn't get there on the dyno. BUT, this is the beauty of data-logging. He sent me a log, and mad a efw adjustments, emailed it back... pretty damn close to right on the money. So... go for a cruise when it happens, pull the datalog and see. If the TPS starts bouncing all over the place... bad TPS, if the TPS stays stable but the IDC goes sky high, accel enrichment.
