Yay, the 2nd day is at Fontana. A lot closer for me.

J2R 03-31-2008 11:47 AM

When we are saying Fontana Pavilion is it the same parking area as last year?

My5ABaby 03-31-2008 11:53 AM

Oh, for the 4p.m. - 8pm., you may want to say where that is.

Proxy One 03-31-2008 11:55 AM

Woot, im getting super excited about this, the brochure looks great Phil.

Herblenny 03-31-2008 01:01 PM

No problem (even though I didn't know it was a mistake). I have a 4 hour commute every day. Oh well, it's worth it. :D

sevensheaven 03-31-2008 05:30 PM

Yes, another mile stone! I have been anxiously waiting for the itinerary.

spankle my wankle 04-01-2008 04:12 PM

i think the map on the phamplet is weird because the village is closer down towards chatanooga than all the way up by knoxville

WE3RX7 04-01-2008 05:13 PM

Thanks for that change - I just found out my cabin # and its near the lodge, so more sleep for me before the EFI tuning seminar!

rotarybeat1287 04-01-2008 05:22 PM

thanks Phil, I really appreciate that.

No problem and I'm sorry about the earlier mix up.

By the way, Allen Gibbs is rotarybeat1287. He's the one who took this pic!
Hope you'll take more pics at this years event!

rotarybeat1287 04-02-2008 10:10 AM

yeah I am sucking up to my friends and trying to get some lenses together for it. But I will most definitely go through some cards at the event. lol. I am bringing sticky pods (for the drive), video camera w/ lots of miniDV tapes, and all my camera stuff.

It's going to be a multimedia smörgåsbord! haha

RoughRex 04-02-2008 10:25 AM

I don't suppose we can get that pic in higher res? It would make an awesome desktop backround.

the original of that photo is pretty deep into my album tho I think. It's big enough for a desktop background.

Herblenny 04-03-2008 12:50 AM

What kind of camera do you use??

Thanks man! It's now my wallpaper :D

djmtsu 04-03-2008 06:07 PM

Lol, that pic has been my desktop on my laptop for about a month now. It looks sicks. Might be a little better if the FC was white! Lol.

85rx-7gsl-se 04-03-2008 06:11 PM

White 7s are always better :D

Turbo II 04-03-2008 06:27 PM

white seven - 7

red seven - 7

You can't even see the white seven!!!! Red FTW.

I suggest we all meet there. Mark off that spot and take turns getting our picture taken by rotarybeat1287. $10 a pic? ;)

DRTHVDR 04-04-2008 07:12 AM

Not a bad idea Greg. Anyone know exactly which turn that is?

Herblenny 04-04-2008 08:41 AM

I dont recall that kind of turn on US129.. But I could be totally wrong..

My5ABaby 04-04-2008 08:43 AM

That looks like the Big South Fork in Scott County Tennessee.

DRTHVDR 04-04-2008 01:42 PM

I don't think there's one with enough room to park along the edge of the road. I'd really like to get some sweet pictures of....the top 2 or 3 cars in the "Best in Show" on the road somewhere.

Pffft... BORING :P

Red is soo much cooler :sifone:

Turbo II 04-04-2008 03:59 PM

It's not on the Dragon if I recall correctly but there is one very similar to it.

Pink Flea 04-04-2008 08:57 PM

Greg, if we can get a chance to do a group run to the area I will do pics for everyone from ncrotaries... and anyone else who wants one as well of course.

rotarybeat1287 04-04-2008 11:16 PM

that road isn't on the stretch of US129... its just the ones in my backyard that I have all to myself and share w/ my tight nit group of friends.

White FC's...? got one of those to! haha.

shot of both of them together:
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/i...DSC_0045-1.jpg

then the TII that I will be bringing to DGRR:
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/i...DSC_0008-1.jpg
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/i...r/DSC_0114.jpg

Camera is a Nikon D70 w/ an 18-70mm and 50mm f/1.8D lenses for now. I'm thinking of picking up a Sigma 10-20mm or Tokina 12-24mm before DGRR to have a wide angle lens for my shots... not one of those generic screw on wide angles. lol.

I also used a Sony Cybershot DSC-H9 for some of those pictures w/ my red FC. But here are some little shots I put together the other day of some of my favorite pictures. Sorry to thread-jack, we were just on the subject tho...hehe!

Dude you take some great shots man. And some nice cars too hah!

rotarybeat1287 04-04-2008 11:47 PM

I want VIP parking beside your TII this year man. Last year it was just me drooling and such. But yeah, photo opportunity ftw!
