January 2011 Nominations for Rotary of the Month
January 2011 is open for all rotary powered vehicles.
Only the first 10 entries that provide a minimum of 3 photos, interior, exterior and engine bay photo with description and mod list will be accepted. Nominations will be closed on Jan 8th and voting will begin. You can nominate anyone's rotary but you must be able to provide the requirements above. Thanks for your nomination! |
Ill throw my Rx2 in the runnings.
1972 Herschel Orange Rx2 Coupe 1983 12a Engine with a SA 5-Spd transmission M'Spec Aluminum Radiator with Dual electric fans Rx4 Brake Master Cylinder Replaced Seats with black seats http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._4314125_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._2144232_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...3_521771_n.jpg |
Is that car all original? The list of mods would make it seem so.
Looks good, I like old school. |

Excuse the above meant to write 12a, brain stopped functioning as I was typing! |
12A from 1983 - no 13Bs in FBs back then. Its not all original with the RX7 engine and the RX4 brake cylinder, etc.
|
Woops was typing fast, I meant 12a. Thanks WE3, good catch.
|
Sorry, I meant the body (all original), not the mechanicals. I should have said as much.
Obviously the mod list indicated that the mechanicals had been changed. If the body survived that long without work, that is impressive. |
I've seen this car in person. Looks all stock from the outside. A very nice
survivor. Jeremy, my wifes' comment when she saw it at Crits was "It's cute!" :smilielol5: |
Yeah the body is all original and original paint with the exception to the passenger rear quarter has been resprayed at some point.
|
So should I just declare you the winner by default or does anyone else want to enter?
|
Could give it till the end of the week see if any random entries turn up.
|
I dunno man, I really like the RX2!!!
|
I can put my wifes car in the "car of the month". I will have to get an interior picture and engine bay pic later. Here is the outside picture...
94 MB FD extend port engine with all OE parts (ported by myself, assembled by Stephen White with some assistance ;).) BNR Stage 3 sequential twin turbocharger upgrades Full 3" exhaust with Magnaflow muffled mid pipe and RB dual tip muffler Custom SMIC upgrade with custom air duct extension Custom intercooler piping with Greddy elbow Type S BOV Power FC w/ Commander 850 primary injectors/1200CC secondary injectors Supra Nippondenso pump Car made 329 RWHP at 14 psi on stock twins and stock engine with stock fuel system a couple years ago. On crappy tires and stock slipping clutch it went a 13.0 with a 2.2 60 ft at 114 mph. Redynoing at the end of this month. Goal with the car is 375 RWHP sequential at 15-16 psi on pump fuel. |
I found that RX2! It was in a junk yard in Pell City AL. When I saw it, it looked perfect!
|
It may take some time for this section of the forum to become popular again...
Bryan, your pictures didn't come through. FD vs RX2 is an interesting competition... |
Throw your FC in there and I'll try to wrangle up an FB.
|
I would have to clean a lot of snow off the '91 to get a picture (although it is probably better looking with the faded paint covered by snow).
The '86 is lying in pieces in the garage (and was not a show car before the hail damage). No beauty pagents for my FCs :) There have to be some FBs and FCs out there somewhere though (normal ones, not crazy ones like yours TTT :) ). |
Heck, I can post some pics of my FC... but it's slow....
|
Slow is cool. You are talking to a guy with an AUTOMATIC RX7 (I know what slow is).
We need to get involvement up in this thread. Get 3 pictures and get involved! |
And you're talking to the guy who has spent the last 13 months pushing his FD from one spot to another.... and the last 7 months pushing his 'vert from one spot to another..... ;)
But I agree, more people need to be involved in these rotaries of the month |
O.k. TTT

We need a <nice> term for someone who waits until the last minute and then completely dominates the ROTM...
