Garrett GTX4294R with a Tial 1.0 Housing. Just wrapping up the manifold then onto an intake manifold for it..

Dazed and Rotarded 02-22-2010 10:27 PM

Damn...that's pretty clean man.what's the power goal?

1Revvin7 02-23-2010 12:14 AM

The owner is looking for at least 500rwhp, maybe even 600 now..

Going to be pushing things!

No Bridge. Just a studded street-ported engine.

reaper 02-26-2010 12:42 AM

i like, it looks amazing.
is the customer going to be able to close his hood?

classicauto 02-26-2010 10:16 AM

was thinking the same thing, turbo sits high! :)

Very sexy, who made the shield for the Tial housing?

Dazed and Rotarded 02-26-2010 10:58 AM

i like how it sit's high.. maybe that will help with heat and a good feed of air flow..still a great build.. i have a re or a rew in my future i think..i'm trying to get out of boost , but the shit's like crack :(

Mawnee 02-26-2010 12:51 PM

Nice setup! where did you get the collector? Did you fabricate it or buy it somewhere? I'd like to go with a tubular manifold for the next version of my manifold and cant find a good source for 3to1 collectors.

classicauto 02-26-2010 12:59 PM

Hey is there a 20B with a gold UIM in the background of that first pic?? lol

pdxhak 02-26-2010 02:13 PM

The turbo manifold looks great. So the owner is going for 500whp. What management are you guys going to use?

There is over 2" inches of hood clearance. No sense in making something if it won't fit.

We sell them for everything. We are enclosing the entire turbo manifold and downpipe too. We also make them for standard turbine housings...

Is there more to the build then just the turbo? That is a lot of WHP for a Renesis. What type of management? Cooling? Meth?

It will be running meth injection. The engine has our stud kit, and will have a few of our coatings. In addition it is ported, doweled, and some prototype apex seals.

Another one we just finished, this one was done in house...
So far is builds boost as fast as the old greddy unit, and should be capable of 400rwhp :icon_tup:

meca 08-27-2010 09:28 PM

Very nice work indeed! What Ecu will be used? BTW 1.5mm Apex seals?

ECU is Adaptronic e420c (piggyback) EMS (MAP based).
Standard Rx-8 dimensions on the seals

1Revvin7 12-04-2010 08:42 PM

Another one has been completed, should start tuning shortly...

Loving the new FI developments you guys are providing for the RX-8.

diabolical1 12-27-2010 09:30 PM

nice work, Elliot.

Nutsid 01-04-2011 10:39 PM

I'm glad people are still pushing the Renesis. I highly doubt I'll ever go with a FI Renesis myself until it proves to be reliable in doing so, but it is good to see people still pushing the capabilities. :icon_tup:

We made over 30+ WOT 4th gear pulls on monday with the car. I am pretty confident the setup is reliable.

Not to downplay the impressive work you're doing by any means, but 30+ WOT pulls in fourth gear isn't that much compared to years of abuse and track time abuse.

I agree, the road course is brutal.

Got back on the dyno.

First sheet is aux ports open; 425rwhp @ 10psi ( stock block, no AI)

Second is comparison between aux ports open and closed, as you can see when we hook the ecu back up to control the aux ports it will have a lot better midrange.

Awesome. Congratulations -- that is some impressive power per lb of boost there.
