Welcome!!!

speedjunkie 08-05-2009 02:27 PM

Welcome! I've been in the AF for over 13 years now. I have all 3 generations of RX-7, so I definitely know how you feel for the cars. I joined straight out of high school with no mechanical knowledge whatsoever, but I've been an AGE mechanic this whole time and that has certainly helped with working on these. If you have a desire to learn the car I'm sure you'll pick it up over time.

I'm at Peterson right now btw. Nellis-> Kadena-> "no hope" Pope-> Peterson

Yeah it's been pretty good to me, but sometimes I wish I'd joined the Army or Marines though, the AF is a little too boring for me haha. I'm actually thinking about going Army Guard so I can fly helicopters, but maybe rx7mechusa might think that's a bad idea HAHA.

I have a buddy from nearby Ft Carson out there right now, not at Bagram though, he's at a FOB. I don't remember the name of it right now though, being that there's like 8 million of them haha. Be safe buddy!

Which airframe is that? I'd LOVE Apache, everyone says that I'm sure haha. Blackhawk would be cool too. I heard the Kiowa is pretty kickass too.
