It was a productive day. Got the engine and tranny in. Put the turbo on and started the down pipe. Everything was pretty painless except for that damn tranny. Also test fitted the fiero fan.

Did a little more work this morning. Intercooler piping pretty much all mocked up. Need to change the angle of the BOV's there going to hit the strut bar at that angle.

I really like the short runner ida manifold. They don't sell them in the states. Hell they don't even make them anymore. I have a friend in Japan that will bid on yahoo auctions for me.

Are you looking for a 4 or 6 port ida manifold? I have a 4 port.

I really like what your doing! If I had the cash I would boost my 12A..Not picking nor will I say I'm a expert at what I'm going to ask..It looks like you are pretty skilled with the welder wouldnt it make sense to change you FMIC end tanks so you have much shorter pipes?

Thanks,

I spent alot of time researching for my set up looking at alot of intercoolers with it just on one side. Problem with them was that the inlet/outlets were far apart. with this intercooler both the inlet/outlet are close together and have a lower profile for the pipes. There isnt alot of space on the radiator bracket to cut out two pipes that are far apart.
I'm not trying to do that much work. :)

good Lord you do awesome work. i'm really liking the way this thing is coming together. did you teach yourself how to weld or is that something related to your profession?

i didn't realize there was a tall and short. i guess i'm just used to seeing the tall ones, which i guess i'd prefer. i'm going to need a 4-port, 2 actually (old school 13B and 13B-T bolt patterns) when the time comes.

i was just curious because i check Ebay and Craigslist every so often for them and NEVER find one... anywhere. only place i've seen them new is Mazdatrix and true to form, since i kept waiting (until it was more convenient) the price went up about $70. :(
