So.... here they are. I had to go get some shipping quotes for my stock P/S rack and Pump, so I asked the UPS guy to snap some shots of the weights as well.

I've got 250 miles of driving with the new rack and I love it. It feels like the big wheel that opens the Swiss bank vault. Its very precise and smooth. Turning around in the driveway takes a bit of effort, but once you're rolling at all there's no issue with it being full manual. Its also very quick. Great on the twisties, but I have to focus to keep it straight at around 50 mph though that seems to go away at 80-90 mph.

How does everyone else like theirs?

Gordon, I just finished tearing my suspension off with the exception of a few things. =D
Going to do something similar to what Phil did on his black FD.

As soon as all my parts come in, I'll make a build thread. She's going to be brand new when I'm done.
With some little upgrades here and there. :reddevil:

Mr. Moto... Can't wait to see your build thread. So, am I the only one with the rack installed?

Get to it TRAY!!! So, I could test it out :)

lt1_fd3s 07-20-2009 09:35 AM

well, i have started to work on the car again that the rack is going into. i was playing with wiring harnesses the other day and a koyo radiator should be on its way shortly...

i hope to be looking to pick up parts of my ignition system within the next 2 wks and seeing when i can get my coils...

my goal is to have the engine out within the month...and then have two FDs with empty engine bays in my driveway!

For those of you wanting one of these, Atomic Rex is giving me a LHD rack to sell at the Carlisi Event next month. It will sell for retail, but Jon of Atomic Rex is donating 20% to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Chris' name. For those coming to the event and interested, you can drive my car and see what the rack is like (and also see what the most "refined" NA 20b is like).
