Is anyone interested in hitting the dyno? I'm going to be scheduling several hours (probably this upcoming weekend) and could get the whole day for probably not too much more.

Finally got my car dynoed. The stock turbo leaves a bit to be desired... lol

Puttin it down! Lol.

We need to have a meet up sometime soon at my house. We can drink beer and play around with the Cosmo. I am going to need some help in a few areas (since my back is fucked, but getting better).

Also, I have a beer fridge in the garage now, so there's that..

FerociousP 11-05-2013 03:02 PM

10psi at 5k, about 4psi at 7k. Issue with either turbo or WG itself. He'll fix that later.

Here are some shenanigans that the group will surely enjoy.

I'm game. Better now than when it gets REALLY cold. Just let me know.

85rx-7gsl-se 11-05-2013 05:59 PM

Yeah that stock turbo has some more power in it.

We think the turbo IS the issue... It should easily flow 8psi at 4k. Maybe its a WG thing or a turbine speed thing, but it just wasn't cutting it.. Raising the boost from 8 to 10 made no difference at 7k.

Robert had little time to plan a "dyno day" due to the shop moving to Smyrna in the next few weeks, as well as also having limited time at the dyno itself due to scheduling. We had one other person do a few pulls ('03 M3) before Robert went on, but the rest of the time was spent deep in tuning (until the end fireballs).

I'm pretty sure most of us would be up for some sort of scheduled "dyno day" at Gage Performance once their new shop gets up and running in the Smyrna area, especially with enough people that just want pulls instead of actual tuning done.

djmtsu 11-07-2013 02:42 PM

If anyone is going to be around Sunday (Nov 10th), and wants to help pull/disassemble the engine out of the Cosmo, let me know.

It should not take long, as it is already stripped down to the block. I can do it myself, but could use the help since my back still isn't 100%.

Depends on what time. I have to pick up my daughter at 6pm.

almoststockfc 11-15-2013 05:04 PM

So who got the cabin?

FC Zach 11-15-2013 07:33 PM

The cabins may already be gone, I think DJ was checking on it. More than likely it'll be everyone on their own again.

Brent 11-23-2013 11:38 PM

Miss all the Middle TN guys. Good to see some old familiar names and some new ones.

Brent 12-02-2013 11:11 PM

And good to randomly run into dj this weekend while I was home.

Yeah that was totally random!

I look over and saw Dan first. Pretty funny I didn't get your message until after we chatted for a bit!

Good seeing you too Brent!

My5ABaby 12-05-2013 09:29 PM

Anybody interested in buying an FC? :D

85rx-7gsl-se 12-05-2013 09:56 PM

Giving up already?

My5ABaby 12-05-2013 10:16 PM

I've owned it for 10 years... ;)
