Listen... I agree... on the RX8 they could've done without the feedback portion, but this isn't some pussy little 182rwhp car... ok?? We were sitting @ 223% of that.... makes cruising through downtown at full throttle a little sketchy... this also isn't some 6port turbo that can only handle like 3 seconds of full throttle before it invents, implements, and engages it's own engine brake :smilielol5:

I like Magnaflow. I've never had a problem with them. My only grip, like I said, is I wish they'd use a better quality stainless, that's all.

My dogs will eat that horse head and nibble on your legs as desert before you get inside ;)

My magnaflow stainless downpipe discolored quickly, which makes me kinda not happy. Also, i've managed to burn up copper gaskets on the exaust flanges, kinda thinking of going vband to eliminate leaks.

Wish I had some. I had the carpet from a couple parts cars in my parents basement until it flooded so they're long gone. It was from an 86, I think base model.

It's stainless, it happens, polish it out?

So I figured I'd give the last official update for the next 12 days anywho as I am now officailly in CA.... weeee!!!!! and all you CA's can suck it, I know it, you know it, you all lie about your weather. Everytime I come here it's cold and rainy..... I should've stayed east.... at least there we get snow.

So anywho... here was the progress over the weekend. I got the new overflow for the fuel cell built and installed.. here it be. This should prohibit the fuel in the cell from expanding and puking out the vent in the fill recess and stripping the paint.... that would be bad... mmmmkay

http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1300738822

Also finally got the interior back together with this little gem. I installed a 12V power outlet in the glovebox becuase the one on the dash was sketchy at best.... I also went out and bought the 12V adapter for the laptop as well.... so I eliminated the need for an inverter and opened myself up to unlimited tuning in the car..... SCORE!!!!

Next was addressing the gaskets in the fuel cell. The ethanol resistant Buna-n sheet gasket that I bought lasted 6 months before the whole thing rotted away, chunck broke off, fuel started spilling out when she was parked with a high ass and a full tank, and of course my fuel filter clogged..... AGAIN.....
When I opened up the tank, I found some discolored and semi-clogged fuel socks. Not wanting to wait alll that long for replacements, i had my guys at Levine cross check some denso numbers and got two new socks... woooot!

So now the cell is installed, leak tested, new filters all around, and just generally ready to kick some ass!

I think you might benefit from some quick disconnects on your fuel tank

I thought about a few things like that, but honestly, there's plenty of room to get an 11/16" and a 3/4" wrench up there to loosen them.

Also on the list of upgraded goodies this winter are new brakes, at all four corners, and a new master and adjustable prop valve and splitter. The problem with the Wilwood masters is that the bolt patern don't line up worth a damn. At least it's off by an evn 90* making the mounting pretty easy, just need to do a little math.

Stock master vs Wilwood 1" bore Master

http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1300742391

I found an old piece of some structural 3/8" steel that turned out to be the perfect size for the master and adj prop valve to mount to the existing brake booster valve. After all the math and double checking and then rechecking I drilled and tapped the appropriote holes. I obviously need some longer bolts

http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1300742391

Here it sits before cutting... and as it will sit for the next 12 days :( I really wanted to get that bitch mounted and partially plumbed before I left, but whatever, not a HUGE deal by anymeans... didn't get the engine pulled either, that pissed me off though.
