Same here!

The thread looks good Dan. For the record, I am not responsible for any blindness resulting from polished parts.

Do polished parts make you blind ,what shall I do . Dan can not have his engine torque brace link unless I get a ride .

hahaha, of course you can have a ride.

Updated the second post with some picture after I added the second element to the wing. I have decided that the second element needs to be about 1" lower and will do that first thing in the morning.

Seems we have chased down most of the gremlins and should be putting her on the dyno tomorrow right after we finish up the internal wiring. The dual EGT and XD-16 guage are working great; just have to install the Tripower gauge pod in the right place. I'm pretty impressed with the XD-16, very nice display and easy to read even sitting on the passenger floor board :D.

After a week of heat cycles on the motor it is now pulling 18"-19" of vacuum at idle which I have down to 900rpm now. Air fuel is low to mid 12's so I have some tuning to do. It also has a pretty bad lean tip in that I will have to work out.

Ran into several issues today installing the carputer and LCD. Took us almost 8 hours to finish off the wiring and get the interior all back together.

We had another RX7 come into for a fender roll and tune so I never got my car on the dyno. We will be putting some breakin miles are her tomorrow and get her on the dyno around mid week.

The list of things to get done is getting shorter:
  1. Install Kazz LSD and 4.77 ring and pinion
  2. Pull off front bumper and hood, prime and put back on.
  3. Install undertray, front spoiler, feed side skirts, front combo lights and oil cooler ducts
  4. Alignment and corner balance
  5. Install surge tank cover
  6. Tune
  7. Mount Hoosier A6’s on wheels

So thats what you were doing over there all day. All I got done with putting a timing belt on and getting a motor mount reinstalled.

Very close. All I have left to install is the turbo parts, change the fluids, and hopefully start it up tomorrow night.

She came in at 2918 with 250 lbs of weight to balance out for me so she is right at 2668 lbs without my oversized ass. We dialed in a 50/50 split on the corner weights and for the first time the rear weighs more than the front. Split front to rear is 49.3% front, 50.7% rear. It must be the big wing making down force even when the car isn’t moving.

My alignment specs are as follows:
Front Camber -2.2
Front Toe .14
Caster 5.1
Rear Camber -2.3
Rear Toe -.16

Nice weight. I weighed my 93 R1 with A/C and air pump and full tank of gas (maybe 2 gallons shy of full) recently at the track. Total weight (w/o driver) was 2,802. The only thing I removed from the car was the spare tire.

Broke down as follows:
DF = 723 PF = 659
DR = 715 PR = 704

Not sure how level the scales were as this was at the track testing for min weight at a NASA event.

I'd love to get some feedback on your caster when you get the car out. Which hopefully will be soon. :)

Good luck.
