I love the LS....
... in my Denali, lol... |
lol whatever :)
Now take that motor out of your 5700lb Denali, put it in a 2800lb car and walk away with a 7.5 power-to-wieght ratio. Make it 6.3 if you add some small goodies:p(that is calculated with driver too;)) Here are some ratios: CAR & Peak HP/PRICE/lbs-to-HP Acura TSX=205 / $29000 / 15.7 / Acura TL=286 / $39000 / 12.6 / Audi TT=255 / $40000 / 10.9 / Audi A3=250 / $34000 / 12.9 / Audi RS4=420 / $66000 / 8.6 / BMW 3 Series=300 / $41000 / 10.9 / BMW Z4=330 / $51800 / 9.1 / Bugati Veyron 16.4 =987 / $1,200,000 / 4.2 / Buick LaCrosse=240 / $29000 / 14.5 / Buick Lucerbe=275 / $35000 / 13.6 / Cadillac CTS-V=400 / $51000 / 9.2 / Cadillac STS-V=469 / $77000 / 8.2 / Chevy Cobalt SS=205 / $22000 / 13.5 / Chevy Corvette C6=400 / $45000 / 7.95 / Chevy Corvette Z06=505 / $70000 / 6.3 / Chevy Impala SS=303 / $28000 / 11.7 / Chevy Malibu SS=240 / $25000 / 13.2 / Chevy Monte Carlo SS=303 / $28000 / 11.0 / Chevy Trailblazer SS=395 / $33000 / 12.0 / Chrysler Crossfire=215 / $40000 / 14.0 / Chrysler PT Cruiser=230 / $29000 / 13.3 / Chrysler 300C SRT-8=425 / $40000 / 8.7 / Dodge Caliber SRT-4=300 / $24000 / 9.8 / Dodge Charger SRT-8=425 / $36000 / 8.9 / Dodge Viper SRT-10=510 / $84000 / 6.7 / Ford Mustang GT500=500 / $41000 / 6.7 / Ford Mustang GT=300 / $28000 / 11.5 / Honda S2000=237 / $34000 / 11.9 / Honda Civic Si=197 / $24000 / 14.6 / Hyundai Tiburon=172 / $20000 / 17.3 / Infinite G35=315 / $35000 / 11.1 / Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8=425 / $40000 / 11.2 / Lexus IS350=306 / $35000 / 11.3 / Lincoln MKZ=263 / $35000 / 12.9 / Lotus Elise=190 / $43000 / 10.4 / Lotus Exige=243 / $80000 / 8.1 / Mazda MX-5=170 / $28000 / 14.35 / Mazda RX-7 FD3S Type R Bathurst= 276 / $43000 / 10.1 Mazda RX-7 FC3s TitaniumTT Edition, ROTARY POWERED = 405/ $$don't ask / 6.9 Mazda RX-8=238 / $28000 / 12.7 / MazdaSpeed3=260 / $24000 / 10.3 / MazdaSpeed6=287 / $30000 / 11.1 / Mercedes CLK=475 / $85000 / 7.5 / Mini Cooper S=175 / $25000 / 14.5 / Mitsubishi Evo XI=286 / $35000 / 11.18 / Mitsubishi Eclipse=260 / $29000 / 14.1 / Nissan Altima=365 / $30000 / 11.5 / Nissan 350Z=315 / $42000 / 10.6 / Pontiac Solstice GXP=260 / $26000 / 11.5 / Pontiac G6=252 / $29000 / 13.4 / Pontiac Grand Prix=303 / $28000 / 11.4 / Porche Boxter S=295 / $65000 / 9.7 / Porche Cayman S=295 / $70000 / 10 / Saleen S7 Twin Turbo=750 / $600000 / 3.9 / Saturn Ion=205 / $21000 / 13.4 / Saturn Sky=260 / $29000 / 11.2 / Scion tC=161 / $17000 / 18.0 / Subaru STI=293 / $33000 / 10.3 / Subaru Legacy=250 / $34000 / 12.2 / VW Jetta=200 / $24000 / 16.1 / VW GTI=200 / $23000 / 15.8 / Volvo V50=218 / $35000 / 14.8 / Volvo S60=300 / $36000 / 11.6 / Volvo V70=300 / $37000 / 10.98 / Volvo S80=311 / $45000 / 11.2 / Thanks for reading my post to justify my guilty conscious:o21: |

FIRST DRIVE yesterday.....MAN OH MAN was it SWEET!!
Everything works as expected. The Integra speedo only needed a little tap on the head and then the needle jumped and worked the whole 12 miles. The cooling temp differances in my gauges cleared up. The C6 Z06 clutch is very streetable, I was expecting something a little harsher lol. The low end torque is CRAZY...so nimble when cruising and has good street manners. It goes to get the exhaust tomorrow morning. I drove it down today to the exhaust shop to have them take a peek at the ride height just in case I needed to raise it for their hoist. Height was fine. They were CRAZY EXCITED about it, I laughed as I pulled up because everyone in the parking lot/block was rubber necking me:)) Got some pics of it today....it is dirty as all hell but I forgot how nice she sits. :yay: http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...urray/3007.jpg http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...urray/3009.jpg http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...urray/3015.jpg http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...urray/3002.jpg http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...urray/3006.jpg http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...urray/3003.jpg INTAKE DONE http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...urray/3004.jpg http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...ray/3005-1.jpg Interior cleaned http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...urray/3014.jpg Ride height is nice but hopefully not too low(rear especially) http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...urray/3011.jpg http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...urray/3010.jpg |

The 6" Magnaflows really have a nice rasp to them. However I am happy I dont freeway travel....these babies will drone at higher speeds.:) All that is left now is to get my bumper installed, make a shroud for my radiator/ intake and take it to Spokane on to get tuned this month |
Nice!! Gonna be a fun drive.

Sorry, but I gotta say this... :(
The build started as a really costly build then turned into a V8 conversion. I dunno why you went with the cheapie crush bent exhaust system, cause the necked-down bends are just hurting exhaust flow. :( -Ted |

in the v8's defense, i doubt it'll make any real difference lol
(until cam anyway) |

The entire car has been costly over the last 8 years lol, this swap was actually pretty cheap after all the money you rotary guys paid me for my old parts lol:rofl: Quote:
