Maybe I'm just waiting to finish my FC when you build an FD capable of keeping up with it :)

TitaniumTT 10-31-2011 07:54 PM

It already does! In fact, it might be faster.... it has wheels, it rolls :smilielol5: Last time I saw your FC, she was on jackstands ;)

helghast7 11-14-2011 09:13 PM

how are the cars doing?

TitaniumTT 11-14-2011 09:50 PM

Great! Haven't touched the FD, haven't touched the 'vert, and the FC left the track last weekend on a flatbed, stil don't know what the underlying issue is, need to get the turbos rebuilt, and I've got to crack the keg open, so glad I still have the landli and an m1008 to deal with AND an emmissions test before the 23rd so I can keep my reg :banghead: I hate cars...

On a different note though, I will be starting full time @ Speed1 on 12/5 :D

2gslse 11-14-2011 09:55 PM

Hmmmm... something tells me you will be very busy this winter

TitaniumTT 11-14-2011 10:13 PM

Why... what are you bringing up to play with :D

2gslse 11-14-2011 10:33 PM

Nothing yet but starting to work on my old FB. I will be needing some exhaust and intercooler piping done for sure though hopefully this winter I can make some progress. Are you moving to Pa. or commuting in during the week and back home on weekends?

TitaniumTT 11-14-2011 10:53 PM

Moving to PA, but I suspect I'll be back in CT twice a month during the winter, and I MAY be back once a week in the summer to take care of my boats... I really can't turn that coin away and the way I can see the sched working, it should work out just great.

What are you using for an ECU, and do you have a harness already made for it? We've spoken about the intercooler and exhaust piping... hell yeah man, bring it up!

helghast7 11-14-2011 11:32 PM

holy shit! congrats! now i only have to drive one place for all my fab and info needs lol

First off - YAY!! You will now be my fabrication bitch...

Seriously glad to hear that though man. It'll be nice to get you closer to VA and I know Dave could really put you to work! But don't think this makes you too good to respond to PMs

Whizbang 11-15-2011 02:40 AM

what part of PA are you moving too?

I'm going to use a Haltech platinum 1000 (not everyone needs high tech Motec) I don't have the harness built for it yet either its on my long list of crap to be done once the engine is in the car we will need to talk once things start coming together more. its gonna be a busy year coming up there a few major jobs and not enough time in the day to do them all and I will be slammed at work beginning in Jan my other half at work is retiring and no replacement in sight yet.

I know that feeling all to well. You should have us build the harness, you want us to build the harness, we will build the harness  Seriously though, remember my harness? All the raychem, milspec connectors, bulkhead release etc etc etc.... yeah... let's do it that way. Give a call man, let's start figuring shit out cuz it ALWAYS takes 2-3 times as long as ya think.

NICE!!

Now you will have to join us at all the NJMP track days since you will be closer. I will have to stop in for a corner balance and check out the shop in the early spring.

Also.... I dont know if Dan told you about "BlackCarTrackCar", but once we finally get our asses in gear to start on that the first thing will be a full cage. I think we know where we can get that done now :D

I feel your pain, the first thing that I have to do when I get the car, is the damn e-test :icon_tdown:

What will be your focus at Dave's place? Fabrication, engine building, bodywork, tuning, all the above?

helghast7 11-15-2011 08:21 PM

Damnit.... I think this will be my last one before im exempt but I have a feeling that because I'm a year late, they'll go by due date, not test date, meaning I'll need to take one more next year..... bastards...

If you're not breaking shit, you're not trying hard enough

Whizbang 11-16-2011 05:41 AM

interestingly, i was looking at either allentown, pittsburg or erie for when i get out of the military. I want to be near a city, but live far enough out to have some privacy.

TitaniumTT 11-16-2011 08:35 AM

No shit? I don't know pittsburg or erie well enough, but go 15 minutes outside of Allentown and its prett hardcore farmland... so yeah

Whizbang 11-16-2011 10:12 AM

i wanna be somewhat close to the allegheny forest

You don't have to try so hard with an FD though.

WE3RX7 11-16-2011 03:54 PM

I will. Bring the 8 up after you get settled. Last event is this Sunday so I will have some down time. May bring the new track car instead though...

are you all doing cages now too?

Speed1 has been doing cages for a long time now ;)

Settled is a relative term..... there is a huge backlog of tuning to be done, yet I feel the need to inquire about an RCC pre-DGRR dyno day :D

TitaniumTT 11-17-2011 01:08 AM

I was gonna txt you, but I couldn't find your number in my phone... then I remembered I went swimming with my phone over the summer

Whizbang 11-17-2011 06:39 AM

allegheny forest area is huge. Takes up most of the northwest portion of PA. But im a hiking camping woodsy type so i like to have that somewheres near by.

^ THIS!!!

Would they rent out the dyno for me to do my own tuning? I already have my map where I want it, but I would love to get it on a dyno for some fine tuning. Or I could just do it during the RCC dyno day... make it happen! :icon_tup:
