David Jerome 04-12-2009 11:06 PM

Glad to hear you got it fired up :)

sk8world 04-13-2009 02:52 PM

Glad you got it fired up! Mine did the same thing to me, started on one rotor then the other kicked in and out until I got the inj's right. I ended up having a short that caused it. The other funny-scarry thing was the oil line going to one of the coolers came off when the presure hit and I didnt even now until I shut it off once it warmed up. I bet I pumped almost all the oil out.... I was sweating it so bad!!! But all was fine.

88turboii 04-14-2009 07:52 PM

So hows it going?
Last day to get this ready.

dregg100 04-16-2009 11:43 AM

But seriously, can't for the results buddy - best of luck with 30psi!!! :)

dregg100 04-21-2009 10:16 PM

Masin, post some more pictures of the engine bay..How did the re-route for the heater core work?

dregg100 04-22-2009 10:55 PM

i actually havent done that yet. currently it is capped and plugged, as i have many other things to worry about. like tuning!

car made its first drive today, no overheating, but i have alot of work to do with the haltech.

yes the casting job on the lim sucks, gives plenty of room for porting, but not a good idea to just bolt it on and roll.

ill have a bunch of pics this weekend with it all cleaned up and in the sun. man it felt good to drive that thing again!

RotaryRoadRage 04-23-2009 07:22 PM

damnit masin! that mofo make's my sticker peck up lol

dregg100 04-25-2009 01:26 PM

well here she is boys. cleaned up and in the sun. yes the bumper doesnt match(which i expected) he is getting the whole car this time and redoing it.

engine bay is not totally complete yet. still waiting on my turbo blanket and need to wrap the DP and some other heat shielding that i found is/was needed. lol also need to flat black the underside of the hood to match everything else.

Car looks great!! Any video's of it yet? Would love to hear how it sounds.

dregg100 04-25-2009 02:15 PM

if i had a video camera, lol. right now its fucking loud as its on 4 inch open DP. the exhaust should be getting finished tomorrow, but we shall see. lol

reese.leblanc 04-26-2009 07:19 PM

First besides Masin to drive it!!!!

LOL. Drove up to help him tune it a bit and got to drive it a couple of miles. Still needs a lot of work on the maps, but it sounds sweet spooling up to 10 psi. :D

Good luck with it, Masin! Let me know if I can be of any more help.

Reese

dregg100 04-26-2009 09:53 PM

thanks for all the help man. she will get there pretty soon. you forgot to mention that that snail was at 10psi by 3k rpms!!

reese worked hard stageing those 4 1600's. we went from it litterally not running when they would come online to decent 11 afrs and a smooth transition. the car is 10 times more drivable now!

It ended up being a spot in the scondary map that went between 50% and 80% in the cells we were having trouble with....thats why sometimes it would push through, outher times it would go way rich. Smoothed that up and it was running really nice :)

Car looks awesome man, with only that shiney comp. housing in there it looks menacing - v8 killer...?? V10 killer.

yes yes yes!!

dregg100 04-29-2009 09:13 AM

nope, sticker is staying the same, maybe it will confuse some people!

no vids of open DP considering it has an exhaust now. lol its still loud as hell though! maybe a walk around vid this weekend.

Herblenny 04-29-2009 09:20 AM

WOW! Looking good!!!

sk8world 04-29-2009 01:58 PM

I heard the s475's sound so nice. Eric Cheatum has a video of his first gen going down the road and all you here is turbo!!

Full RPM band baby! 7.3K w00t!

That exhaust tip is super cool, the CF gaurd is a nice touch also, fits the lower black/CF items on the car well.

How wide are those rear tires again?? :)

Fidelity101 04-29-2009 08:12 PM

be careful to not suck up any small animals with that thing! lol

dregg100 04-30-2009 08:38 AM

tires are 255's on a 10inch rim. we shall see how well they hook. if they dont im thinking of having the rears made wider(1inch) and run 315 drag radials.

and the turbo, yeah, it sounds sweet now that i have an exhaust on it. sounds like you are going to take of just accelerating in vac!!

sk8world 04-30-2009 07:30 PM

you going to use ray or steve?

dregg100 05-02-2009 08:37 AM

ray if i can get him to come.

charlies7 05-02-2009 08:56 AM

How is the turbo kit Masin? Getting the job done?? :)

RotaryRoadRage 05-02-2009 03:11 PM

let me just say that his car sound's fucking retarded bad.. that might sound dumb , but you gotta hear this thing in person... and it's not even tuned.. that's awsome..

sk8world 05-03-2009 06:17 PM

Take it to Ray, leave it for the week.. That will be the best thing so if you run into any problems he can fix them.

BTW who built the motor? What all was clearanced? Just curious as that was part of us stoping were we did.

dregg100 05-03-2009 08:41 PM

i built the engine. mandeville ballenced the rotating assembly and clearanced the rotors(comp faces and sides) along with the guru oversized stud kit.

id love to drop the car off with him, but he is 9 hours away and if something goes wrong, yes he can fix it, but i will have to pay for it. that is one thing i absolutely hate is other people working on my car. now i know it would be done correct etc, it just makes me un easy. dropping it off has been in the back of my head for sometime now, so we shall see.

charlie, turbo kit is good so far. had fun getting my turbo blanket on lol. i forgot how much of a big difference those things make in underhood temps!! this week we should be getting up to wastegate pressure and be able wind it out to 7 or 8k rpm. cant wait to hear the gates open!
