What?? that's complete BS!!!

Red Dragon 05-05-2009 02:51 PM

Meh, 5 dollars isn't a problem I just gotta remeber how to get out there.

staticpat 05-05-2009 04:17 PM

That's shitty. You'd think they would let people in for free no problem. If it looks like fun a spectator would likely enter an event the next go around.

Red Dragon 05-05-2009 09:36 PM

what time you going pat?

SPICcnmFD 05-06-2009 08:25 AM

I agree it's bull. From what we were told it's because they have a permanent gate keeper.

You still coming to Barbers at the end of the month?

Brent 05-06-2009 11:18 AM

Oh yeah, I'll be there!!! Be at Nashville Super Speedway the weekend before that with the Mustang Club if you are looking to add another weekend. I'll be home in a little over a week hopefully :D Then it's a summer full of driving :D

Herblenny 05-06-2009 12:27 PM

Dang Brent!! We should hang when you are in town.. I'll be available Friday and Saturday.. But leaving town Sunday.. Hence I can't do Barbers... And I wished the SCCA thing at TGPR was on Sunday instead of Saturday.. Dang!!

Brent 05-06-2009 02:18 PM

Sounds good Phil. I'll hopefully hit town Friday afternoon so I should be around Friday and Saturday evening. I'll be leaving Sunday afternoon as well as soon as I'm done at Barber and be heading straight to Road Atlanta for the Chin event on Monday :D.

^wow, poor car it's going to be tired!!

staticpat 05-06-2009 05:22 PM

I saw this site for the first time today. Did Ryan get a 99 bumper, or is someone else around that I don't know about.

I'll ask. NASA usually only allows instructors to give rides but I'll see. Also I'm still about 50/50 on what car is coming so you may have to just hang on the side we make it with the DSR:).

Yeah, I'll be switching between the yellow car and silver car this summer so hopefully that will help give me a little extra time for maintenance between events. For longer weekends, I have my speed bleeders, plenty of brake fluid, pads, rotors, etc... with me at the event. As for right now though, I'll be using the silver car for the first few. I now just need to find a little time to put my safety mod's in the car.

On a side note, I priced Hawk DTC60's and 70's for my Porsche Big Red's... I 'm looking at $270-$300 a set :banghead: They are thicker and should last longer, but how much longer is anyone's guess. I may bite the bullet and get a set for my next one, but if they wear out after a couple/few weekends, I'll be finding a cheaper alternative. My driving level is no where near these brake pads being a "must have" for me, just want to try them since they are suppose to be the best right now.

SPICcnmFD 05-08-2009 07:49 AM

Well the good thing is Barbers and ATL is are pretty easy on tires, so you shouldn't get much wear on them.

Brent 05-08-2009 09:27 AM

Good to hear. I'll be running some Dunlop Z1 StarSpec's so hopefully they'll last me a while as well.
