Where the party at?

Phoenix7 09-08-2008 04:08 PM

hotel? Restaurant in the area? Bar (with pool table/darts)?

Since i will be utterly lost anywhere there I say the hotel bar.

-xlr8planet- 09-08-2008 04:13 PM

Im in for whatever you guys decide

RCCAZ 1 09-08-2008 04:47 PM

Everyone,

The Phoenix group will be rolling into town around 4 pm Friday (currently at 25 cars and still adding). For Friday evening events, you can either go to the Go Karting event at K1 Speed. This event is a fundraiser for JDRF and was a blast last year (albiet a few cracked ribs on my part)

http://sevenstock.org/node/view/11

Or, you may opt to take the shuttle down to the Irvine Spectrum. Tons of great places to eat and things to see.

Finally, for out of towners, you might want to consider heading over to Superautobacs. If you've never been in the store before, just let me say that it's a "must see" for first timers. Tons and tons of cool JDM parts right there on the shelf and ready to take home. Be aware though, they close the store fairly early in the evening, so give yourself enough time (because it will take quite awhile to get through everything).

And, if none of that appeals to you, you can just hang out in the hotel bar. I'm sure a ton of rotorheads will be holding up barstools until they chase us out! See you soon!

Phoenix7 09-08-2008 05:00 PM

 thanks!`

Miata_mx5 09-08-2008 05:24 PM

I can show some people around irvine if needed be. I am meeting phil, dan and some others at John wayne airport on the night of the 26th. I have only 3 other seats in my GT-R though (spare driver).

Phoenix7 09-08-2008 05:26 PM

How big is your trunk? well, we can always get a shuttle so we can all drink without worrying about driving anywhere.

I will be rolling into Irvine late morning after my visit to Synapse Engineering in SD on the 25th.

Phoenix7 09-09-2008 06:47 PM

Are you all signed up for the RCC Banquet table?

WE need 10 people and so far we have 6. 4 more spots left!

afgmoto1978 09-09-2008 06:52 PM

Yep, I don't know about my co pilot Sk8terpunk though.

Phoenix7 09-09-2008 07:08 PM

Mine is an older one. 1994 (R32). I can fit 4 people in the GTR. 3 comfortably.

It should be ok, because i already agreed with phil a while back. I am sure we can figure out something worse case.

Xlr8plant : Bring me some of those RCC Stickers in your signature. Assortment of sizes if you can. =D

Phoenix7 09-09-2008 11:17 PM

lt1_fd3s 09-09-2008 11:20 PM

Wild Turkey 101 and Cherry Coke is my usual drink...

Phoenix7 09-09-2008 11:22 PM

lt1_fd3s 09-10-2008 05:50 AM

i want to go for a ride in a skyline...can i go? can i go? i'm small, i can fit in the back...sat in the back seats of an FD once...

Miata_mx5 09-10-2008 11:32 AM

Since my GTR is pretty stock, it might not be as fast as some of these modified Rx7s. LOL. If people want to all chip in a little for gas, i can give out as many rides as people want.

I rode in a FB once, rode in a FC once and I pushed an FD.

thats about it.

Trust me, riding a Skyline is a wet dream for me.

Phoenix7 09-10-2008 01:31 PM

I've never seen one in person! Plus, you're not going to ride in a Skyline, you're going to ride a
Skyline GTR V. Spec II!

Phoenix7 09-10-2008 01:40 PM

Also, if any of you are going to the 7stock banquet and want to join us at an RCC table please do add yourself to the list.

We need 10 people in order to get the table and we're missing ONE right now.
