Wait so is there a solid mount version of this??

MotoTek 03-03-2009 01:51 PM

Not yet Phil. I emailed him about implementing that design into the rack, seeing as how they designed it in the first place, but haven't had a reply back from him in about a week.

I know To_Slow is running a 20b, and wanted this design as well. I'm sticking 13b, but the more clearance the better.

Hello..

He send me the rack design a couple days ago, but figure everybody got them, so i did not post them. From the looks of it i told him to go ahead on that design looks great..

ok, i'm a little lost, how will the mounts being part of the rack give more clearance? Is it because of the lack of bushing and everything will allow to drop the position of the rack just a little?

gmonsen 03-10-2009 07:29 PM

Tray... Its the "thickness" of the collar that goes around the subframe. This solid mount has about 1/4 inch more clearance to the oil pan than the stock mount.

I am hopeful of getting mine late this week or early next. I have been meaning to have my wife check for sipping costs from my place to each of you, but haven't done it yet. My zipcode is 18077.

I think it will cost a lot less coming to me first.

Gordon

cool, thanks for the clarification, Gordon. I look forward to hearing your opinion of how it feels in the car. My car won't be running for a little while longer, so I get to sit and wonder!

MotoTek 03-12-2009 07:56 PM

Guys, shipping to Gordons I thought was a great idea, but Jon says that shipping is dependent on weight. :icon_tdown: So, shipping all the racks to Gordons would just be 4x as much, then we'd have to pay shipping from his place to ours. We'll all have to pay a little bit more in taxes this way, but it will save us/gordon hassle and time. :icon_tup:

I spoke with Jon two weeks ago to give him my CC for deposit. No news at that time.

I haven't heard from him in about a week. I'll try contacting him tomorrow, I've been super busy at work and school, and trying to get my motor built.

2% CC Fee
15% VAT but - 10% for discount = 5% VAT
UK£ 690 = 1 004.433 U.S. dollars for the rack itself
$100 give or take $30 for shipping
