Right...but...you tell me how you can mix and match 12A plates and 13B Housings/Rotors.

and the final verdict is?

Internal have to match the housings you're using (e-shaft, rotors, etc.) but the irons are innerchangable. The housings and irons need to be pre '86 so the coolant seals match.

^So the plates can be swapped...I thought I had heard you could, but wasn't sure.

i would hope its possible...its already built...lol....im definetly doing the turbo setup though....gonna use a stock turbo ii setup with the webber....just to see what it pushes...hoping for the best

A blow through system can yield good results. But then again, it is ALL in the tuning!

85rx-7gsl-se 12-19-2008 11:50 AM

Yes...Pick up a wideband before you start screwing with anything...And make sure your carbs are properly prepped for boost. Rotaryshack would probably be a good place to look for blowthrough carb info :icon_tup:

88moneypit 12-19-2008 11:52 AM

so whats a blow through setup?

85rx-7gsl-se 12-19-2008 12:02 PM

Where you have the turbo compressor outlet running boosted air into the carb....Hence the the turbo pressure is "blowing through" the carb as opossed to some older setups where the turbo inlet sucked air through the carb (Draw-through setup)

88moneypit 12-19-2008 12:03 PM

oh ok gotcha......they go for a pretty penny?

85rx-7gsl-se 12-19-2008 12:06 PM

IDK, never really looked into much... But check out www.rotaryshack.com IIRC, they had a 700+whp blowthrough 12a setup :D

Do know for basics you need an exhaust manifold and downpipe, carb hat, make sure your carb is properly prepped, if you are running over about 8 psi you should get an intercooler or water/meth injection setup, rising rate fuel pressure regulator, 255lph fuel pump.

88moneypit 12-19-2008 12:12 PM

now the hard part is who can help me tune it all around here?

85rx-7gsl-se 12-19-2008 12:21 PM

Idk, Vinnie is one of the only people I know with any real carb experience on rotaries around here, but he is N/A
