OP - Sorry, not trying to derail your thread Peter - Check your PM and rice racing inbox, been trying to get support on the RR WI kit. Pretty please :bigear::seeya: |
as I knew it would be, Logan, it's been worth the wait. i'm too awestruck to think of decent questions right now, so i'll just wait until I can think straight. suffice it to say, i'm really happy and excited for you and look forward to seeing what this work of art can do when it rolls up it's sleeves.

Seeing as at fully unrestricted the R26B could make 900bhp, I can't see why this couldn't get CLOSE ;)

quick math fact- @9000 rpm peak power was at 690hp. That is 690*5252/9000= 402ft-lbs. The claim was at 10,500 rpm it made 900. BUT....... 402ft-lbs * 10500rpm / 5252 = 805 Hp. To do 900hp it would have to make its rated PEAK torque all the way to 10,500 which was 448ft-lbs Me thinks that is not possible. Why not try to match that anyway, I have more than 10,500 rpm on tap :) |

The R26B in IMSA with a muffler and no restriction on the intake is documented to have only ever made 610bhp 'maximum' The Le-Mans (in qualifying trim) maximum output form could only muster 680bhp. Only way it would ever have made 900bhp is if it was fitted with a Microwreck, fueled up on methanol, and slapped in a drug car LOL and even then the physics would never match reality and it would only ever show about 720bhp hahahahaha. 4 rotor & 900bhp is hand on the groin material fiction BDC and HC style. |
though in theory the 787B only needed 350-400-ish hp to maintain a comparable pace. it won bc the first and second place cars broke :D However, that piece of history will be left in the fine print
Logan, will you by chance be running any events in FL like at Daytona International Speedway infield, or Sebring International Raceway? Even GA at Road Atlanta, i'd drive the 5 hours to check out. Would LOVE to check the car out in person. as we all know. . . a picture is just a wishful memory :D Quote:

I opened the pic link into a new window and it worked fine.
Heres the link as it sits in the last post with links (#18) and it will work as a link if you follow it. http://s254.photobucket.com/user/fd2...617_n.jpg.html Heres the link that just has the raw JPG file in the URL. It works if you follow it as well. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...61891617_n.jpg Now put the [IMG][/IMG] tags around it and you see this with either link. PhotoBucket is doing something new with links from other sites. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...61891617_n.jpg I don't think the OP has anything to do with this. I suspect other PB users will see the same issue maybe. |
Increased my photobucket bandwidth, photos should work now. Stay tuned for our epic video!
