How are you going to test for leaks? Just curious?

Any word on a trip to Daves?

Nice!

I appreciate the concern..... seriously..

Yeah, and I missed that.... spent way too long fitting the filler tube so tonight the cartridges will be finished, pressure tested tonight and again tomorrow.... either way, Thurs/Friday I can get her lit. Friday's my only day off too so if I don't get her done Friday, I'm missing Limerock next Thursday and that's going to make me angry.... as in mass homicide of women and children and cars if I miss Limerock this year again.

The drain gets plugged. The fill vent gets plumbed to a pressure gauge, the atmosphere vent gets plumbed to an air regulator. The feed gets plumbed to the return, I've got a plumbers plug for the fill. Add air pressure, smoke a cig and say a prayer then spray with water.

I sent an e-mail to him today, basically Mon-Wed next week for me I could probably make happen, Wed I could easily pull rank and get that day off for the dyno, then Limerock Thursday. So I'm hoping to have some GoPro vids up by the weekend..... if I miss it again.... well, we've covered that

Thinking of making a trip to the new shop to see the piece of poo on the dyno ... as opposed to just a comp test and a few beers :smilielol5:

Dunno, as soon as I get the chance I'll be out there. The 'vert project has taken a new turn now that Sean cracked his front iron and decided to be a pussy and "go back to america's roots," whatever that means

:smilielol5:

But yeah, definately want to pick that thing up when I can. Thanks much my friend

TitaniumTT 06-09-2010 04:21 PM

I think I know the one you're talking about actually, put on by the Vintage guys at some school to benefit some church right? I was hoping to go but between work and not really being ready, I'm going to pass

Sweet. Yeah, I'd bet that his rad and intercooler and be reused, then there's the mounting etc etc etc. It would be awesome for sure.

That would be AWESOME! Thanks T

You can if you want, but I'll just check out mcmaster-carr for some drawings first. To be honest you're pretty bad at mailing things . I'll let you know if you need to include it with the manifold too.

vex 06-10-2010 08:37 AM

Yeah TTT, you don't need to send it to me. All I need from you is the total length you need it to go: Tip-to-Tip as it were (I thought you might like that saying ;))

Also the following will help me design the best option for you. Max pressure it will carry, biggest moment it will see (horizontal force exerted by the mass of the pump acting on it during a hi-g corner). You don't have to give me that information if you don't want to, but it will help me in designing the lightest possible adapter for you (assuming aluminum, can also do it for a host of other materials too).
