You could easily make a single fitting on a lathe. I might even be able to design it up on Autodesk for you ;) |
If the pump in the pics is going to feed the surge tank why bother running the line out the top and not directly into the surge tank?(troubleshooting later???)
|
I would hazard a guess that when/if you need to pull the pump, it's much easier, cleaner, safer to undo the line to the surge tank while it is outside the tank. As opposed to trying to undo fittings inside the tank.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo with the exception of the filler tube, the mother's all welded up.... YEAH BIOTCH! about 2.5 hrs of welding and almost as much time spent cleaning the material becuase of all the humidity we've had lately.... really messes shit up. Pretty sure I had some moisture in the hoses as well :banghead: Oh well, on with the pix Good pic of the sender. The top warped slightly, had to brace it from the inside to weld it shut then reach in and remove the brace http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1275980616 That's a hell of a fit huh? http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1275980616 yup, straigtened everything with a little piece of angle on the side I couldn't reach. http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1275980616 http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1275980616 Yup http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1275980616 |
