damn good weekend

the turn out (hopefully I remember this correct...):

about 25 people (furthest drive - 7 hours)
16 cars
1 RX-3 (old school reppin'!)
2 SAs
3 FBs
4 FCs
2 FDs
3 RX-8s
1 STI

if you took pics, once you upload them (if you upload them), please give me a link so i can add it to the website...which I WILL be updating within the next few weekend...

I don't think your Apple Pie Memory is that good Tray. Except for remembering the damn good time. There were more FCs, The FCs definitely dominated.:driving:
1. Kristy
2. Reese and Nicole
3. Brett
4. Zach & Friend
5. Bryan & his GF
6. Dave and Julia

My favorite quote that I heard this past weekend: "They took my heat"

Now who can put names by all the cars? I'll start, copy and paste, correct, as you see fit:
18 cars
1 RX-3 - (old school reppin'!) Marco
2 SAs - Tim, Robert
3 FBs - Richard & Sheryl, Max, Black Mt. FB
6 FCs - Kristy, Brett, Reese & Nicole, Bryan & Lori, Zach & Lance, Dave & Julia
2 FDs - Tray, Tray
3 RX-8s - Jack, Holly, Levi
1 STI - Jeremy

lt1_fd3s 10-23-2011 09:01 PM

should be 2 FDs - Tray, Tray...

Robert's is an SA... I looked to make sure...
Sheryl's is an FB...
We had an FB from Black Mountain join us on the first part of our trim... and Max's FB that came and hung out...

Bryan's GF = Lori
Zach's Friend = Lance "Lane"

We have giveaways from

Dinner provided at the campsite Saturday evening.

After camp was set up we started the campfire for dinner and gave the door prizes out.
Driving the longest distance was:

Jack from Centerville, VA - HANS Tire Clock
And starting off the HANS hats and RCC Tag frames was Bret for pitching the Biggest Tent.

We had an amazing time! Thanks to Brett for letting us crash in his tent! Too bad someone forgot to pay the damned heating bill. It was COLD (again LOL).

Glad we made it! Looking forward to getting back into the rotary get togethers again!

AHHHHH!!! Glad you guys had a great time. Post up those pics!

Kentetsu 10-24-2011 12:45 PM

Sounds like you guys had a blast. Wish I could've made it. If I'd known about the prize for farthest distance, well, I still couldn't have made it. :)

Well, the gifts were from Holly's work of sweet talking her work into contributing... and it was a "last min" decision to send them home with the folks who drove the furthest... never know, maybe next year we'll hand out "most repeat performance" gifts and "shortest drive"... i dont know, i tend to live in the moment and go with what ever might work...

Tray I need a shipment of that "apple pie"!!!!

reese.leblanc 10-24-2011 03:24 PM

Oh, just an update for those that were standing around helping to troubleshoot my malfunctioning blow off valve:

One of my first thoughts turned out to be right. Higher altitude results in the car drawing less vacuum. The Tial requires a certain amount of vacuum to overcome the spring inside so it can operate properly. As I went further down the mountain, the better it worked. Once I was back at my "normal" altitude, the BOV operates flawlessly.

Damned science...
