Oh really? What about the BAC? Is it in the same location on both the 13 and the 20B? That's my main concern and knowing that the BAC is not on the TB of the FD or the FC, I assumed that it wasn't on the 20B either. I'm going to need to call them today, thanks Phil!

rotomoto 05-18-2010 01:12 PM

Is it too late to get in on this GB?

If not, I would like one for an FD, but with the optional cruise control fixture.

Thanks

Herblenny 05-19-2010 06:56 AM

I've deleted unrelated posts to this GB.. Please restrain yourself from posting random chat..

Regarding if its too late to get on this GB..

Friday is the deadline for people on the 1st list to place their order. If less than 10 people have actually bought their TB, then GB will open back up. I'll give another week for the people on the 1st list to purchase... after Next Friday (May 28th), their names will be taken off and the CANNOT get back on the GB and would have to pay... just because you put your name on here doesn't mean you get to keep your spot indefinitely!!

I've emailed Rotary Work to see who ordered theirs and who didn't.. Pending how things go, I'll ask them if they will allow few more and also how they want to handle things if we do get 20+ people.

allrotor93 05-19-2010 01:40 PM

PortedRotorTuner 05-19-2010 03:54 PM

I was going to pay for mine tomorrow. Just so you know. :001_005:

allrotor93 05-19-2010 04:12 PM

He said he was shipping them in the next day or 2

KaiFD3S 05-21-2010 12:56 PM

Got mine today, looks just as good as the first one I bought...

TitaniumTT 05-21-2010 09:26 PM

 I still need to find the time to call and talk to these guys about the BAC on the 20B TB. I want one.... really badly. I need more excuses to stap my girl on the dyno

allrotor93 05-27-2010 12:49 PM

i bought another one today so put that toward the 20

the_glassman 05-27-2010 07:05 PM

Ready to pay for one if someone drops out or they can cut me in. :)

goracer 06-02-2010 12:42 AM

I want in on this to, please!

:seeya: I was going to buy one anyway and found the GB trying to google RW since I forgot their name. I need the added cruise control option though.

goracer 06-03-2010 06:55 PM

I just spoke with them asking if I can jump in on the tail end of this but I didn't realized they have not made the cruise control option yet. If anyone else needs the cruise control, please speak up as they may need to machine an entire new manifold and most likely they may need preorders to justify the expense as the version they have now was purpose built for track only cars (no cruise needed).

allrotor93 06-03-2010 08:45 PM

these cars have cruise?

goracer 06-05-2010 04:02 PM

^ I like my touring version. I won't give up my stereo, A/C, power steering or cruise control.

I believe there's more dual purpose (daily driver/weekend race) then there are track only guys. Especially since he said he's already had a lot of calls for the cruise option and they may have to create a separate version instead of just an add on.

neit_jnf 06-07-2010 05:59 PM

waiting for cruise control also!!!

hey Phil, i sent Rene two emails and requested if i could make a purchase via another way besides a phone call. i still want this part badly and i am willing to pay for it now but i have not heard back from Rene. since i am overseas it is hard for me to contact him on his time schedule via phone call. i will send him another email today but i would hate to not be able to get back on the gb if i'm bumped off for this reason.

goracer 06-09-2010 03:22 AM

If they are going to make a whole new street version, then hopefully then can dual plates which helps prevent bogging from putting around (like parking lots, gas stations, etc). Not double throttle but on OEM the bottom single plate is separate from the top dual plates. Yes, I know the original purpose is for racing but if they are starting a new one from scratch then it would be a sweet version. The coolant connection and double throttle we don't need.

Herblenny 06-09-2010 09:23 AM

I'll ask Rene about email orders.. I think he told me that he will give me a code to give you guys for ordering online.. I'll double check on that.

regarding cruise.. Last time I talked to him, he said they are working on it.. Not sure how long.

Mine is on the car but have some other issues.

But this is how it looks :)

thanks, Mark

RICE RACING 06-13-2010 09:22 PM

They look real nice :icon_tup:

I made a similar thing out of the stock unit and in reality on the street in my own experience they work crap :icon_tdown:

Problem is most of the air speed is lost down the secondary runners in the lower inlet manifold, and cause you are running primary injectors at low speed low throttle the fuel mixing is rubbish :o10: everything suffers and its a basic mismatched concept that can never have the bugs tuned out as its a mechanical air flow and speed problem.

Once you are up and driving they are great :driving:
I went back to a standard offset slightly staged primary to secondary butterfly system and all problems went away. A single large throttle or locked std triple butterfly especially one that interlinks primary and secondary lower runners will never be right......... not a warning against the group buy but worth knowing if your not aware of the issues of this type of thing and expect your car to be perfect in the way it runs.

jamespond24 06-15-2010 01:23 AM

Well it works great on my friend's drag car! I'm going to use one of the it on my street 20B FC. I'm excited!!!

That's why I asking if they would do a double plate if they had to design a new streeet version to include cruise control anyhow. My CBR 1000 has a similar double butterfly. The main throttle is closed at low speeds and only the little plates open giving about 20% of air volume. Above a certain rpm the main plates open up as well. I removed the little flap doors and deviders to enlarge the intake. For the most part when I had it tuned, they compensated for it. I'm not sure if it would be the same for this setup or not. Maybe it could be tuned and smoothed out with the PFC?

[QUOTE=scrubolio;128762]any reviews on this TB?

Well my friend Poncho made 992rwhp at 47psi using this TB with a stock FD intake manifold running a semi-port.

jamespond24 04-22-2011 12:05 AM

My 20b FC make 715rwhp at 25 psi with the Rotary Works tb, planning on hitting 800rwhp next weekend than race at an import event on the following Sunday.

Supernaut 03-03-2012 07:54 PM

Anyone experiencing leaks due to the TB?
