Can someone turn this thread into a magazine article?? With some detail how to pics??
Thanks! |
Did they even MAKE black cloth FC seats? Or at least a darker grey.
|
I'll try my best Phil. I did a lot of pictures when I did the swap, but I still have the FB seats so I can always take new ones.
|
so i was forced to get rid of the impulse, but of the parts i raped it for, was the seats. They are much better than the run of the mill FB / FC seats for comfortable and see to sit pretty low. And they "kinda" match my black interior.
Ill get pictures once i install them. |

Been so busy lately, I never got my install pics up. Dont think its magazine quality Phil, but its what I've got.
I tried showing the dimensions the best I could. They do sit up a little taller, which I actually like. I also included a picture of the passenger rail issue I ran into. I used '87 T2 seats with factory FB sliders (both sides). The threaded hole on the passenger inside rail (the one that goes on the trans tunnel) didn't line up. But using a bolt and nut w/ lock washer through another factory hole worked just fine. |
so wait, you sit HIGHER now?
|
Feels that way. The backs are higher than the stockers too - I didnt take a before measurement, but w/ a helmet on I rub where I didn't before...
|
well that is NOT what i am looking for
|
Yea - I know, I was pretty shocked at first too.
If I lean my T2 seat back just enough though, I'm good to go. Its not really a big deal and the seats themselves are MUCH more comfortable and clean than the stockers. I'd still recommend it. |
Mine sit lower then the stock seats for sure.
(FC GXL seats vs. FB GSL seats) |
so could this work to put infini seats in an FB?
