Are you going to be running the 4 secondary injectors or just 2? The exessive LIM is set up for 4 or can be used with 4 can't it?

You can use 4, but I will only be using 2 1600cc.

Funny you should bring that up though; I was in an interesting conversation with Ari from Rotary Performance about the fuel wall that the primaries create because they inject fuel at a 90 degree angle to the airflow. He pointed out that the secondary injectors are at far better angle to flow. With 550 primaries, it is not such a big issue but the larger they get the more of a wall is created. I considered moving the primary's to the LIM but didn't want to screw with making a custom fuel rail at this point.

If my horsepower goals were higher or I was using larger primaries, I would without question move the primaries to the Xcessive LIM.

I was full firm on a .188 bar
I run -2 all the way around.
I will start out on the current springs as I'm comfortable with the way the car handles. I may increase them to something closer to what Andy and Erik run when I change out to 28 series Koni's.

Thats interesting about the primaries into the secondary on the Xcessive LIM. On another note, I wonder in theory if it would be more benificial to run 4 smaller cc injectors for the secondary rather than 2 larger ones.

You really can't because the 4 injector holes on the X-LIM are 2 primary and 2 secondary.

ah ok, for some reason I was under the impression they were another set of secondaries, upon looking at some pictures of it, I'm following how its set up now.

Updated the build with a few new pictures of the wing install and wider wheel, also learned not to leave friends unattended:

I was sanding on the Corvette's front bumper getting it ready to be painted and kicked up a lot of dust in the process. Brian took the opportunity to let me know that I should be building the motor for the 7 and not wasting my time on the Corvette.

That wasn't Brian that did that, I did. Brian added the second comment not pictured. And your right, you should never leave us unattended in the shop. :p You did say you wanted the bumper and hood primered black when you get back, right?

Actually Richard made the second comment, not me. BTW, I'm that good looking guy that keeps popping up in the pics, but you don't see my face. I feel kinda like Wilson on Home Improvement. :)

We are here b/c we are "Chadwick's bitches". But he does feed us every once and awhile for our time. Just making sure he isn't fibbing about who's doing his work sometimes.

Chadwick 03-10-2008 07:01 PM

Actually if the truth be known, they do more work on my car than I do. I’m just there for the comic relief.
