Yes they're supposed to be there. As long as the gasket is sealed on both sides they really don't matter.

alright well i had fuel getting into one of those holes cause the gasket was warped! imma try to get the old one scraped off and go from there. no gasket sealer on there right??

not necessary with a good gasket.

very much so -_- im going to try spare it if not ill have to spend $200 on a new one so im going to take my time on it and post sum after pictures if all turns out and i dont crack anything >_<

Just buy a 1/2 " phenolic spacer for holley/dellorto same bolt pattern. Get one with 1 vac source as it seems that is what you need. Don't buy a new "tray". Either are also easy to drill and tap for vac also.
