If looking at wiring diagrams gives you a headache then either buy a Supra or pay someone to do the swap. It's not that bad, the hard part is figuring out where the wires get routed. |

Edit: The tachometer will need to be connected and that is easy. All FC's have a single wire test connector on the driver side somewhat in-between the starter relay and the Clutch slave cylinder. It is yellow and has a female bullet style connector. |

ok sorry havent been able to get to a computer for a bit and just finally got started back on the swap everything is out of the engine bay and starting to figure out wiring.. i hate electrical but i can do it easily and it will all be done im doing the 2j swap into the mk3 next to my rx7 also.. heres a couple pictures and will have more up soon project is starting to get going a little smoother
|
im sure itll be fun when it gets put together... but im really against 2j swapping. more against piston swapping a rotary. either way good luck with the build man!
|
ok so the 2j is being put on hold for right now.. bought another 88 se rx7 to get parts for my car and dd it
|
When I fit a 2J, the problem is the deck is about 3/4 of an inch higher than the 1J. This is why I went 1JZ because I did want to keep a sway bar and keep the oilpan out of the rocks, and also keep a stock hood.
The body harness and the engine harness are 2 completely different things in response to your last question. |
Build hit the fan and sold for way more then i had invested, thread can be closed.. DId get a 84 fb keeping 12a in it :)
