w00t! I'm looking forward to seeing it progress. :icon_tup:

I know if anybody will bring the FD back, you will. You should keep those eclipse wheels though, looks good :)
We are locked down by snow now too - My wife had to leave the rx8 at the inlaws so I picked her up in the mighty TJ... sucks though, apparently the 8 became a good snow drift mule and is now under 36+ inches of snow... should make for a fun tomorrow going to dig her out.... |

congrads man, I will get an FD too, the next few years for sure, it will be sick.... good luck with the build, looking forward to reading bout it.

VEry nice pick up man! Judging by it's baja stance I am guessing there is no drivetrain? Are you planning to RE that one as well or use a REW? I understand if you don't want to spill the beans or even know yet. Should be a fun thread for me to get good ides off of:D I may wait to go v-mount until you make yours. haha. Anyways, congrats. They are awsome machines. Out of all 3 gens we have, it is the most confidence inspiring to drive.

Looks like a nice straight body on her good project to start with is it a 93 touring? I see the sunroof and lack of a spoiler but the fogs are gone

Now you have more proof that a Cherokee can haul a car. Although when Tray and I picked it up I was driving an '04 Grand Cherokee Overland :smilielol5: Quote:

Gonna have to talk to Alex about resizing
|
How much of the structure was cut up for the sleek lights? do you need another core support to fix it?
|
I say do some RE-Amemeiya headlights, they look damn sexy!
But that's just me... :D |

hey you can weld different types of metals right?

Negative - KnightSport dual headlight kit. I never liked the sleeklights.[/QUOTE]
I love the way the knightsports look but if I remember right they require the headlight lid retainer (clips) to be cut off and use doublesided tape or something to hold it down. They are plastic and have a bad enough time staying on as it is without cutting mounts off. there was a group buy for some bi-xenon projectors (from sakebomb garage) in the popups for good lighting without the bad looks of the sleek lights. |
Such a hater on flush headlights :) Guess that means I cant con you into making the bracket for my HIDs huh?
You should make a new thread for your FD, even if you dont start building it until the spring - I have a sneaking suspicion you will tinker here and there before then :) |

Sorry, not to add to a internal debate, but pop-up headlights went out with headbands and big hair. They absolutly destroy the looks of the car when popped up. Aerodynamic by day, and friggin brick by night. Just my opinion. I am not a corvette fan but the best thing they ever did for it was mount some molded lights.
And excuse the jacking but 2gslse: Do you have a core support laying around you don't need? I am in need of one. Does it include the main support bar(crash bar) Mine was damaged by a Mitsu galant:( |
i love the FD with pop ups, there not square on them like the FC and FB. they just look right on the car IMO, and it brings more of an exotic vibe towards the car when you roll into a crowded place when its going dark and you open them, ive had lots of people stare

Damn Galant owners. Ask him if he wants a new set of rims :smilielol5: Quote:

I hear your points. And for me, yeah I like the sleek better. But that's why I like cars. many different styles to choose from for individual tastes.
I was watching some Nascar themed show once and Mark Martins kid reffered to ac/dc as oldies, and 2pac as classic rap..... I wanted to slap the TV. Guess that means we are getting old. |
Pop-ups = win http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...ns/awesome.gif

If TitainiumTT doesn't need it then I have the main structure from the top of the windshield forward from a car I got my wiring out of I just couldn't see throwing it away when I was done. I am pretty sure I have a bumper support in the attic also. |

Cool, Thanks for the tip Tyler. And yes, you can bet your ass there will be plenty of custom parts :D
Is SakeBombs kit a dual light ala my headlights/Knightsport kit? I never saw pics of the lights themselves, but in skimming through the thread, it looks like an H4 replacement.... I are confused |
SakeBomb HID's, I wished they made em for the FC :(

It is an H4 replacement with a projector and HID system a cool setup. I was going to make my own kind of setup buying the projectors and mounting them in the housing, but have them done and adjusted right would be a lot of work. From what i've heard the knightsport kits aren't very bright. |
I haven't heard anything about the KnightSports being dull, but that's an easy fix. I am more interested in the KnightSports Shrouds. If I could buy just the shrouds, that would be ideal. In fact, maybe what I'll do is try to get my hands on a set of shrouds - TRAY - and pull a fiberglass mold so I can reproduce them myself, and then use a different housing, I LOVE the Hella 90MM moduales that I have, as a bonus, Hella offers them as TRUE LEGAL HIDS as opposed to the rebased H9's that I have. They work great, the cutoff is amazing, there's no glare even if you're standing infront of them kneeling, and nobody that I've ever been driving behind has ever complained about them even when I've asked, so they are great housings, just not "entirely legal" :( I need more time

Hey! I passed a legitamate emmisions test! I didn't have to bribe anyone to get my stickers........ or course right after the test was done I put all that fuel back in the map and as soon as I got home I pulled the Cat off and stored it in the basement.... but I'm still legal :smilielol5:
Lighting seems to get the cops in a tizzy becuase of saftey concerns.... it's an easy to spot thing sometimes. |
