Some updates!

As mentioned in a previous post, the Hercules is now registered and insured. I've had to repair the starter and replace the solenoid. I replaced the tires and chain and will need to address a clutch issue soon. I've taken it out a couple times and am very happy with it other than the slipping clutch.

The 7 is back on the road, all is well so far. I'm very happy with the idle now. I've never had an IACV until last week. I'm using an FC BAC adapted to work with my application.

You can fix the slipping clutch on mine if you get bored :smash:

I'll check it out once I get the Celica put back together. Once that's done (hopefully this week, pending if Coffey finishes up), we'll meet up so I can load it up and bring it to the house. Whatever is needed I can pick up from Jess and knock them out at the same time.

Brian (TitaniumTT) was passing through town and made time to do some finishing touches with my tune (as well as others) on the dyno. I work nights and really didn't want to do this on a weekday but he was leaving that day so I toughened up and hung in there. Assuming this would be an all day event, I was hoping to be on the dyno when the shop opened around 9am. . .

Thee hours later we finally strap her down (giggity giggity!).

A few tweaks later

The numbers aren't where I predicted they'd be, I was hoping for closer to 190 but nonetheless the final reading is better than stock :) I'm very happy with the results, and from those I can say my motor is pretty solid. Now lets throw some nitrous on this biach and reach 190

I think you are missing 4000-5000 rpm. That extra 10 is in there somewhere lol

FC Zach 08-10-2017 06:27 AM

Probably, but I'm done with replacing transmissions. After telling him what all has been done to the motor and how it's balanced and all, Brian wanted to increase the rev limiter but I had to drop the hammer on that one :smash:

I will say, that is an extremely FLAT dyno chart.

So there's that.

FC Zach 08-10-2017 09:01 AM

Pretty nice huh?

project86 08-10-2017 09:09 AM
