better be, it needs to make up for the pushrod comment and penis looking intake :p

if I was to ever build a "reliable, cheaper, track car" then a rotary 7, it would have the new 5.0 out of the 2011 mustang, 412hp, DOHC, the GT out does the challenger, and Camaro in almost every way except for highest HP and one other thing... Ford is finally pulled their head outta their ass, making good vehicles with good engines across the board

Challenger is better looking than any of them, and it has the Hemi.... that means that it's better than all of them too ;)

Thanks man...you know it will still be one of your favorites. A mean sounding V8 makes ANY car guru smile:hurray:

+That Hemi is nice but come on the LS3 is pretty damn sweet! And YES I agree Ford has completly turned around in qaulity:302:

Story of my life buddy lol.

Got my radiator set-up all wrapped up today. Not to shabby for a 1988 C4 vette radiator and a whole lot of love with a 5lb hammer:)

must..... remove....BDC.... decal.....

lookin good btw

TitaniumTT 11-12-2010 11:07 PM

Why???? It's just a reminder of what a BDC HP + meth will eventually get you.....

FAILURE!!!!!!!!!!

THEN MORE FAILURE with a V8

Prodigy 11-14-2010 03:45 PM

^^^so much hate... lol

I understand why you hate. I just think its funny... that's all.. lol

J.

TitaniumTT 11-14-2010 03:49 PM

 Sean knows I'm just fucking with him....... about the V8 :suspect:

Prodigy 11-14-2010 05:01 PM

The Hate I was referring too was about the BDC sticker :P

As much as I dont "like" the idea of an Piston in the 7, I cant completely understand why.. the rotary is a very very particular engine... requires a balancing act none the less greater or equal too going into business with a family or friends... it can be done.. but there are some very unique challenges one must over come...

a V8 in a rotary is like trying to watch the football game and tune out the spouse that is nagging about not spending enough time with her... quite easy to do

(not trying to be offensive, but you guys get my point :P)

and besides, Sean (FC3S Murray) is doing a great job of converting it over... one of the best and cleanist swaps to date...

J.

FC3S Murray 11-15-2010 08:25 PM

Thanks guys for all the compliments and the hate;)!!

...and yes the BDC sticker will go...just so wrong in many ways to sport that with a push rod monster

BTW...i HATE fiberglass wrap! soooooo itchy aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

TitaniumTT 11-15-2010 10:10 PM

Why do you have 2 different headers for your 4-rotor?

Oh wait........... that's right..............

Whatever you do DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE A HOT SHOWER AND SCRUB TO GET RID IF THE ITCHINESS!!!! Cold shower and I mean COLD!!! To the point where you look like a woman upon exiting! I know that's normal but work with me here ;) :smilielol5:

So THAT'S why I still had fiberglass in my skin the other night after a hot shower LOL. I wish I'd heard this before haha.

This is a super clean build btw. I love the rotary too much to do this to my car, but I won't lie and say it hasn't crossed my mind haha.

TitaniumTT 11-16-2010 11:25 AM

Yeah, hot showers open the pores more and the glass gets embedded more.... cold shower is the way to go.

IMHO there are better engines to go in than a V8.... I would do something turbo if I were to ever swap the rotary out. Hell, I'm trying to think of things to swap one INTO

classicauto 11-16-2010 12:28 PM

Its OK brian, we all know you mean you need a cold shower to squash the woody you'd have after wrapping those v8 headers....

It's funny because I was thinking AS I was taking the shower that it should probably be cold water but I just said the hell with it haha.

I often look at different things I could put a rotary in also. I'd LOVE to do a rotary go-kart...or pretty much rotary anything haha.

project86 11-17-2010 08:16 PM

just thinking about that wrap makes me itchy again.. ugh... looks like you wrapper er tight though sean ......

THATS WHAT SHE SAID!....

sorry.. im back now

WTF are you talking about Joe? I6 or Rotary :cheers2:

And you guys are a bunch of pussies... I spent the better part of the day trimming a Shine Bumper than the better part of the night RE-glassing some of ducting.... tomorrow I'll be trimming again. I may not shower at all just to be a MAN!:ugh2:

You still have not said what happened to the front end :suspect:

TitaniumTT 11-18-2010 07:27 AM

You are correct. No I have not.

GtoRx7 11-18-2010 11:22 AM

Actually for fiberglass, there is a MUCH better way to go than a shower. Get some vinegar, and pour all over your arms and hands and let it soak on there for a few minutes. It will burn, but the vinegar actually dissolves glass. Rinse off and enjoy your day. Just be careful not to be called a douche bag ;-)

NoDOHC 11-19-2010 07:32 PM

Awesome advise, I didn't know that vinegar dissolves glass!

For crying out loud.... look at the room :) You could have fit a Viper motor in there! ;)

josh18_2k 11-23-2010 12:11 PM

eh, once you get the fan in there theres no room to speak of. my taurus fan clears my waterpump by like 1/2"

TitaniumTT 11-23-2010 01:34 PM

On the swap I was involved with we cut out the stocker rad support and rebuilt all the sheet metal in the nose to cant the rad almost all the way back to the stock bumper support. Built a shroud and tucked 2 8" fans in. T'was pretty sweet. But that car was also getting a full out show quality paint job

if/when i rebuild the car i plan to lean it way forward (similar to stock?) and try to get most of the airflow out the hood. vmount without the intercooler lol

Flip those headers over, a couple of T3's on there - bam - 2 billion horsepower. OK OK, 1.9 billion.

Nismo 11-24-2010 09:25 PM

So have you figured out what to do with the other 4000rpm of tach yet?

And everyone knows you throw the header wrap in a bucket of cold water, and wrap the headers, one it keeps itchness to below herpes levels, and it stretches so it doesn't sag like your grandmothers titties!

Lol.....you mean what am I going to do with the other 500 rpm left on my tach:fawk: This motor with my Katech rod bolts and cam will spin to 6500rpm with ease. Others tell me I can take it to 7K but my cam stops making power at 6600 rpm AND the next weak link in would be the valvetrain and rods so there is no reason to rev her that high.

AND leave my grannies boobies out of this conversation you motor boating son-of-a-bitch!

Rotorboating!!! Wait... you are the anti-christ, you can have your MOTORboat :willy_nilly:

FC3S Murray 11-29-2010 12:04 PM

hahaha :)

Well I got my headers installed.....and what a pain in the ass. 5lb hammer was introduced to my firewall and transmission tunnel for a second time.... meaning the motor had to come out while they "conversed".

MAN, I just read from post page 27 to now and I got to say.........you guys all rock. Even with me doing this "bad joo joo" swap, you all are alright in my book.

As for the FC, I have got a shit ton of parts in this week that are mostly fuel and exhaust related. I had to sell the RB cans to Project86 since the 2 1/4'' wasnt gonna cut it. I ended up ordering some Magnaflow polished racing mufflers with nice tips.
http://images.magnaflow.com/02product/parts/14806.jpg

Project86 has my S5 bumper and OEM S5 TII lip and should be spraying soon.
A buddy and I might be welding my entire exhaust system ourselves since the only place here in Great Falls dont do good work.

A lot of stuff has gone down and this thread has been neglected. I will change that soon.
Pics will be coming very very soon.

FC3S Murray 01-06-2011 07:01 PM

Update:

Started my fuel system today. Its looks alright....but I work with what I got. The sender also bothers be but at least it is shiney. I am still waiting on my 30R9 hose to route to the feed and return lines. I had a shit ton of the russell Twist-lok hose left over from my 13BT build so that saved me some cash (shit sells for 40.00$ for 10FT).
