Just 9 more wknds to work on the cars. |
Adult shit you wouldn't understand.
|
Last wknd accomplishment/fail:
-washed car -attempted idle air control installation -still no worky so removed floorboard interior and fixed wiring issue -still no worky after isolating components -drank beer -drank another beer - :) |
Oh, took the golf cart out for a Sunday stroll.
|
E-fan install was a success, but the desired result was not.
At highway speed, the coolant temps are higher. Only guess is at higher speeds, the fan is creating a blockage and stalling the air through the rad. Didn't have this problem with the fan clutch, but it is always locked on. 2 steps forward....... |
Diameter of fan?
Shroud? Controller? |

None (didn't have one with fan clutch either, broken) Hayden adjustable temp with probe (giggity) |
There's no reason it should be overheating with a controller and no shroud, regardless of fan size.
Edit: meant to say "at interstate speeds", driving around town is a different story. |
Update on my turd.... we (me and dj) replaced afm. Thought that fixed it. No go. Tried adjusting tps. Back to square one. Took all the manifolds off again. Discovered shart gaskets. Ordered new non shart gaskets. If they dont fix the problem im getting a haltech.
