I have all the votages from my PFC here and the car runs just really crappy. I have changed the injectors, plugs, wires, coils, MAP sensor, O2 Sensor and various other things with no results. So here is the info to see if any of you sees something wrong.

PIM 2.59V
VTA1 .73v
VTA2 1.48v
VMOP 1.42v
WTRT 1.68v
ATRT 2.5v
FUEL 3.94v
O2S 0.01v

IVTR Sensor ON
FPD Sensor ON
PAC Sensor ON
CCN Sensor ON

Rest OFF

Please help me not take it to a shop.

Thanx

I know it is a fresh rebuild but have you dont a compression test to verify?? I figured you had this thing sorted out by now.

No i never have done any kind of compression test on it. However I have seen it run on a engine stand prior to intalling it. It fired right up on a couple of turns. I guess I could always do a test though just to rule that out. Also these readings I posted where at idle ~800RPM

how crappy is pretty crappy? Are your injector settings correct on the PowerFC? What's your injector duty at idle?

Also, are you saying it idles crappy or have you tried to drive it and it runs just as bad across the board? My FD currently has an idle problem where it's occasionally idling at around 1300RPMs, and when it does idle that high, the car vibrates pretty bad and it sounds like crap, but it drives fine just not at idle.

First off what is the car history from running to the current not running?
Was it running with the stock ecu and you only changed to the PFC and now not running?
Or did you do an engine rebuild and installed the PFC.
You are not giving us a resonable amount of data to make decisions on.

I know a little about the history..

Jeremy bought this engine from me which was built by my builder. Engine was cranked and broken in on a stand to make sure everything is ok. It ran for about a week for about 2-4 hours. Compression was good and I hand delivered it to Jeremy.

I saw this car run. It starts fine but seems like its dumping ton of gas as I could smell it really badly out of the back. My guess initially was that the injectors are stuck open. I've asked Jeremy to switch out the injectors and see if it improves or not.. I guess its still doing that??

Well initially I too thought it must be a stuck injector or bad O-Ring so I did put the primary injectors out and completely changed them and the O-rings, that wasnt the problem. So then I checked the secondaries to see if they were stuck and they arent either. I didnt pull them though, I suppose it could still be a bad O-ring on a secondary. Would a bad pressure regulator do this? I havent really checked what kind of fuel pressure im getting as I dont have a gauge on the system.

The PFC was working just fine with the other engine so I dont think that is an issue. I also pulled it and tried a Pettit ECU also with same results. Thus enforcing that the PFC is fine and not the issue.

Are you getting proper coolant temp readings? Just making sure you dont have the connectors mixed up for the thermosensor and the fuel temp sensor. I made the mistake once and spent a bunch of time diagnosing it until I realized what it was, never thought I would make that mistake but it happens. Car will act exactly like you are stating, idle like crap, and reak of fuel, smokes a little bit also.

Yeah I checked that already and im pretty sure they are correct.

Yeah I checked that already and im pretty sure they are correct.

Is your commander reading proper coolant temps?? If so then they are correct, if it isnt reading coolant temps correctly they are backwards.

I had a similar issue when I first srated my new motor. It ended up being the larger injectors I put in with the the wrong % added. I did change the size on the pfc but failed to adjust the % part. Not sure if this applies to you.

Since Jeremy didn't update this thread, I will.. as I hate un-resolved threads..

He sent his car to a rotary shop and apprently the Injector O rings were bad.

My guess is that they replaced it and now the car runs fine:)

Are the PCF voltages from a warm engine, your TPS looks off? VTA1 should be close to .4 and VTA2 close to 1.0, from my limited understanding of the subject.
