So, this is kind of weird..

My car breaks up around 4000 RPM when the engine is not fully warmed up.. Anyone know why?? My only guess at this point is the coolant bypass to the TB and TB isn't warming up quickily.. Has anyone else noticed this issue?? and any solutions?

Thanks!

Phil, you wouldn't be talking about the rev limiter for the engine when the engine is cold would you?

If you have the latest Mazda flash they lowered the threshold for revving a cold engine. If it only does it when it's cold then it's probably that.

Really?? I didn't know they did that.. But it does rev up to 6+K under low load..

my car done this since the day I bought it only in the winter time I think when the car is below 100 in it runs really rich causing ignition breakup when it warms up it runs fine

^Spot on, also the flash program will not allow it. Helps save the engine...

yea i lose power from around 3k-4300k then i lose it from 5ish to after 6500rpm, then i just have no pull up to redline, this is my second engine, i took it to a different dealership and they said that my intake manifold wasnt cleaned properly is all gunked up....any ideas??

I put in new sparkplugs very recently, i barely have a thousand miles on them.

If your intake manifold is all gunked up... that is your answer.

I dont have this issue at all. In fact if I dont let my car warm up to operating temp and drive my rpms try to pull up fast at 5, rpms :willy_nilly:

Check the SSV valve its also got a tsb. Here is a video of them cleaning it http://www.vimeo.com/7093611 I cleaned mine and it helped. It needed to be cleaned and it didnt throw a 2070 code. so it could be that even if it has not pulled a code yet.
