Hey RX8 owners!

If you're in the market for a new clutch or flywheel then look no further than this post.

BHR has been working with SPEC to release a clutch package and flywheel which produces the lightest combination of rotational mass that's available for the RX8. The combination of SPEC's lightweight pressure plate and our lightweight flywheel reduce the total rotational mass by just less than 8 lbs total.

The other great offering is the stage 1 clutch which, combined with the lightweight pressure plate, produces a pedal pressure less than the OEM clutch but is capable of up to 265 lb./ft of clamping force.

However, we offer various other stages as well.

1) Stage 1 kit, 265 lb./ft. capacity (about 395 f.w.h.p.), full-face organic disc, $509.85 (PayPal) or $495 (check/MO), shipped in the 48 States.
2) Stage 2 kit, 300 lb./ft. capacity (about 450 f.w.h.p.), segmented Kevlar disc, $566.50 (PayPal) or $550 (check/MO), shipped in the 48 States.
3) Stage 2+ kit, 340 lb./ft. capacity (about 500 f.w.h.p.), Segmented Kevlar/carbon disc, $602.55 (PayPal) or $585 (check/MO), shipped in the 48 States.

The BHR Flywheels are 9.0 lbs. and they include the 6 bolts for the counterweight, 6 bolts for the pressure plate, and six washers for the pressure plate bolts. $386.25 (PayPal) or $375 (check/MO), shipped in the 48 States.

BHR includes EVERYTHING needed for a comprehensive swap except the bearing grease. Where ACT provides a Koyo bearing, BHR provides a heavy duty release bearing. Where Exedy omits the pilot bearing seal, BHR provides a new pilot bearing seal.

A couple weekends back, the BHR team quarterbacked a Greddy Turbo install for a local Phoenix RX8 owner. The kit was completed with tuning using the COBB accessPORT and tuning was conducted by Jeff Abrams who posts as MazdaManiac.

The kit was completed with some fabrication to incorporate the AEM intake as a substitution to the poorly designed Greddy intake system. Also done was some fabrication to the intercooler mounting to incorporate the AEM cold air intake.

Other substitutions are the HKS Sequential blow off valve in the limited black edition as well as black Samco couplers and vibrant t-bolt clamps!

Here are some pictures!
