I bought a 1976 Mazda REPU! It is in fair condition, but needs paint and a little body work to make very nice.
The engine will be a stock block 20B with a single turbo conversion. Turbo options are a T67 or a T72. I want great response so the truck will be turn key streetable. I also have a TH350 built Automatic trans that will have to be fabbed to fit the wankel. Stall speed on the converter will need to be in the low 3K's.
I would like to get this project completed as sook as possible, but I don't see it getting completed for another 6 months. I have to get my first gen done and get some new apex seals in my wifes car before I can get started on this project...

Bryan, if this isn't at DGRR 2010, I will most likely kill myself.

haha. Its not worth it man!!! I am getting busy and need to finish a few things before this thing gets started. I need a fender and a glass for the passenger side. I can have it painted and looking great in no time.

Did you get this from bob?

yeah, bob was going to take the goods out of it and sell it on ebay. I told him he could keep the engine and trans if he would sell the rest to me :D.

I remember Ivan did the same with a late 80's mazda pu. I think the truck was blue. Came out sweet.
Can't wait to see this old school truck when its done.

Well I am thinking a T67 to start off with. It should get full boost by 2800 or so. For drag racing, a 4-4200 Stall would be perfect, but Ithere are no intentions to drag it. It will be a turn key driver with a/c. That is the plan :driving:.
I may get silly with it by changing the stall speed and turbo later, but until that stock 20b breaks, it will have that torquey little T67.
