I don't have any of his information other than he is from Spartanburg, SC. Anyway he was showing me his NSU Spider project pictures and I wanted to let him know there is 6 pages on the first Wankel rotary powered car ever in the latest copy (July issue) of Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car magazine which I got in the mail today.
It features the 498cc single rotor rear mount engine and states that there are only about 35-40 of these cars in the USA and only a handful running. I also learned that Citroen was the 3rd and last company to produce a Wankel rotary powered car, the Birotor GS. They mention the 2- and 4-rotor Corvette concept cars.
The Turbo II is also listed as one of the 16 eighties icon sports cars with a brief write-up.

I love this magazine!
