ask Traynam about the Blue Ridge Rotary rally (B3R) :)

88TurboII is correct! I host the Blue Ridge Rotary Run =]. Typically it is in October. My goal is to have it right when the leaves are in peak change.
The pace of B3R is probably more in tune with the Skyway drive that is done on Sunday of DGRR. Laid back and just cruise and enjoy the scenic landscape. But we will be taking a few access roads that are fun =]
I will start planning this year's and post details as I have them.
In the mean time, you can check out the not-so-updated website:

I may check out the rx8 one this time around. And prob the blue ridge run. Also wanted to see if anyone wanted to do a run or incorporate pigeon forge into the place to stay. Just a thought. If so its best to make it when no other show or big shows are in town. The show that was the same weekend as the dgrr was just crazy. Too many ppl.

We could get the media involved and have state police escort through the beginning and end of the states. This could be epic. Our own cannonball run... heheh

I think out of all the cars that drove long distances to DGRR, only 2 had troubles? One was a clogged fuel filter and was repaired after a few hours...
and the other one, i'm not sure what happened to him, last i heard the car was in North VA...
Shar (in FD) made it from Cali without problems and went to NY. AJ (in FB) came from TX, when to NY and only trouble has been pulled over by cops and throttle cable issues (which he was close to rotary friend, so it was easy fix)

VERY interested
There is an rx8 dragon run every september and I am sure they would not mind if 7s showed up.
Because of the economy, there's a strong possibility it won't happen this year, or at least as it has been the previous years. Maybe only a 1 or 2 day event.

Now I have a washable 10 micron stainless steel filter element so I won't be having that problem again.
Shar did make it ok till he got to my place and nearly ripped his bumper off on my driveway. We changed the oil and he was on his way.
AJ did get hassled un-mercifully by cops. Really not cool what happened to him.

That would be schweet, I'd be all over that. Being in Texas actually works out quite nice, last year I drove out to SS and this year was DGRR with an impromptu side journey up the East coast to NYC. I love it I tells ya, I loves it.

Did you hear that Shar had some trouble with snow in Utah? Car spun in front of him and he lost it taking evasive action. Ended up stuck for over an hour before getting himself out while waiting on the tow truck.
I acutally fixed my throttle cable with a wire out of the harnes for my A/C.

Hellz yea, no more running around for hours trying to find a dang filter.
I got pulled over another time in OK around 2:30 in the morning for the same crap. I showed the officer my warning ticket from Ohio and he sent me on my way without any hassle.

Pulled the little blonde chick over actually. I really don't get her. She gets pulled over for the stupidest shit and doesn't get out of it. I need to give her a lesson in how to talk to cops and get out of jail.... the people in our group know what I'm talking about.

No I didn't hear that. At least he's ok. Snow in April, wow.... actually, the biggest snow storm I've ever witnessed in CT was in April. It's cold enough. You Texas bopys ain't used to this real weather huh?
Nive job on the repair :icon_tup:
Hellz yea, no more running around for hours trying to find a dang filter.
That fucking thing pissed me off. Next trip I go on of any distance I'm going to bring one of those paper filters as a spare JUST IN CASE becuase they're like $12 as opposed to the $37 for my washable, and another sock, and a bunch of line. Basically learn from my lack of forethought. Although, who ever heard of a blatantly clogged fuel filter after 2,000 miles of driving? Something else is up, gonna drain my tank and clean it out. Actually, the new setup requires me to cut the top and enlarge it so I'll deal with it then.

WTF? You can't have long hair and not be hassled? Not Cool. I went through the same shit when I was in high school going through that rebellious fuck the world stage, I had hair down to my nipples. Got pulled over constantly and got tickets all the time. Lopped off the hair and have been fine free since....... interesting....... & got pulled over with an unregg'ed car and was let go, 52 in a 25, 85 in a 55, and one other bad one...... fucking profiling. You don't even drink and they're searching you for drugs

I know and she's got two get out of jail free cards but it never seems to work. :dunno:
He lost it in Utah I believe, crazy how he went through snow both ways and had crap luck both times. Hell, it's like I said at your place. I'd rather it be 110* outside than under 60, I just can't do it lol.
If you recall, that night we spent lookin' for that damn wal mart I suggested teh fule filter but I think it was disguarded since we were dead set on the problem being the pump. Sounds like a plan though, maybe next time you'll get more than one damp run on the Dragon.
Apparently not. Awhile back I volunteered to be the DD when my friends went out drinking. We ended up getting pulled over for some stupid reason of which I don't recall by a state trooper. He asked if I had been drinking tonight and I told him no, I was the DD. He looked around at all the plastered people in the truck then made me get out and stand at the back of the truck. Officer Asshat asked me 2 times if I smoked pot before letting us go. Even when I'm obviously doing the right thing I get hassled.
