Heres the story,
The jspec TII in my SE took a dump and lost compression in the rear rotor.
So I was on the quest to get a rebuild or find a good condition repalcement engine. I ended up buying a blow S5 TII short block from RRTEC. Then having it sent to Kevin at Rotary Resurrection for a streetport and rebuild.
Thanks again RRTEC for shipping the engine out to Rotary Resurrection for me.
Finally thanks to Kevin for the great rebuild!!!

The engine fired up on its thrid try and has been running great since. I have about 250 miles on it so far.
I highly recommend Kevin!!

Heres some pics of tear down

Some more pics and details of my car.
Bought the car from the orginal owner in 2004 with 64K miles. Wanted to keep it stock at first but i wanted more speed out of her. So i upgraded the car to its current form.

It's a streetported S5 TII block with FD UIM, GT35R turbo, 3" exhaust to a borla mid pipe muffer then to a magnaflow muffler. Haltech E6X, 800/1600 injectors and a walbro 255 fuel pump. Currently still breaking in the motor so no boost and keeping the revs below 4k.
I did all the work myself at the auto hobbie shop here on base with the exception of the engine rebulid.

I swaped the front cover and oil pan to GSL-SE before the engine was put in.

Awesome. Simply Awesome! Your SE is the same color mine was at some point in its life. If I didn't have my FC project, I'd be going down the same path. Cant wait to see some numbers on that sucker....

Badass car. I know how you felt about wanting to keep it stock at first. I was the same way but it's more fun to drive now isn't it? Screw collector status! lol

I think I will send my motor off to Kevin for porting and rebuild when the time comes. Those ports look nice.

FD UIM, TB and elbow. Did you port-match or get an adaptor?

1st gen + 13BT = sex on wheels. Great job!

Yes, i used an adaptor that I bought about a year ago. Used FD UIM mainly for the looks not really sure if it's better or worse??? I know there is some debate about it.
