Just say few words of your experience and comparison to other events you might of attended.

I've travelled some distance for a get together in the past, but absolutely nothing I've done to date was this worthwhile. The road, the people, the 7's (and 8's....and 3's.... :) ) were all amazing. Real feeling of community at these meets with a wicked atmoshpere for a cruise and show weekend!

DGRR is a mix of all things I could ask for with Rotorheads. There is driving, socializing, relaxing and spectacular views.

I just love driving my FD and being around so many others who enjoy thier rotary as much as me just brings extra joy! What better place to drive than 12 miles and 300+ curves! Just about no 2 rotaries are alike, eveyone has different setups and mods which are interesting to see! My wife also loves this event and she enjoys the dragon as much as I. Basically this event is a double win!

I haven't gone to a local meet for over 2 years, but I haven't missed DGRR once.

2300 KM round trip last year. I'm making the same trip this year. Had a great time, met some nice people, saw some fantastic cars, and drove on a beautiful, challenging road. As long as I can help it and as long as this event happens I intend to be at every one.

The worst part about DGRR is leaving it! I've attended BBQs, Local Meets, and Rotorfest. Nothing on the East Coast compares...

I've attended DGRR for the past 3 years and each year has been scary for it's own reason for me....first year I spun toward the mountain...second year, crazy ex....haha....third year....Hit by a motorcycle.

Yet...for some reason, I keep coming back. That reason, by far the best rotary event I've ever been to.
This year's goal...
-No spinning, no crazy gf's, no "run-ins" with other Deal's Gap travelers, and bring a vehicle with new suspension, wheels, and interior.

I was about to say, I don't remember THAT shit! HAHA.

The only time I've been was in 2006, couldn't make it any other time, and I've regretted missing it each time since then. If everything works out, I someday plan to drive all the way from Colorado if I have to (and hopefully bring the others from here too), just so I can test the car and myself on this road again and hang out with my brothers and sisters again.

I didn't really hang out with EVERYONE the time that I went (Phil I believe you and I had a few words about this at one point haha, but the hatchet is buried as far as I'm concerned), but I still had a great time and I definitely loved seeing all the beautiful rotary powered vehicles, some of which I might not have ever seen if I hadn't gone. Now that I'm near the west coast again I plan on hitting Sevenstock too, WOOHOO!!

^You definitely need to go man, it's kickass. When I was there in 06 a guy and his girl/wife drove from Michigan or northern Illinois, and I think there might have been someone from Texas or something too. So people DO make the drive.

This year we have people from Canada driving thru MI... and some from NH is coming down..

There is a map and I'll update it this coming week.. I have 2 more signed up today.. And still 2 months away.

FYI: last year, Nantahala Village was completely booked... This rate, they might be booked again.. sign up early.. I'm hoping to give you guys some good news and more enticing news next week sometime..

was there last year will be there this year had a great time, also made the BOTD in the fall had a great time there even after getting stopped three time by the local and state should we go for 4 this time? ha ha
