I have my 192k '89 GTUs that I went 6p turbo.
- N/A block with custom turbo intake manifold (japan2la) that reshapes the ports for the n/a block.
- Other than that, it is a fully stock s5 t2 swap (all sensors, turbo, no emissions).
- RB downpipe
- Single cat midpipe
- Racing beat dual catback
- 3rd gen fuel pump
- Griffin radiator (SB chevy size, custom hoses)
- escort e-fan
- Oil filter pedestal used as turbo feed line (hard line all the way to the turbo)
- Tapped N/A front cover for turbo return line
- Turbo Oil pump
- Painted manifolds
- TB modification w/ no cold start
- Boost, oil pressure, water temp gauges (with 1fastt2 DIN slots), fuel pressure gauge in the engine bay
- Innovate wideband DB-1 (small controller, red gauge)
- HKS Fcon w/ map sensor and GCC (don't know what chip, says FEED on cover)
- Stock t2 wheels, new AST 215s in back
- Only broken interior pieces are the plastic triangles covering the mirror screws, all the interior is intact
Bad
-traded s5 wing for t2 hood, so no wing
-motor has low oil pressure after it warms up
-condensation in oil after a few hundred miles(no known coolant leaks, never overheated)
-after turbo swap, OMP lines would only fill half way no matter what I did, ran premix since.
-driver seat bolster torn (common place)
-bad paint (not perfectly straight but no major damage, one side repainted before I got the car)
-trans has been changed so the speedo and 7-8 mph fast
-wiper switch needs replacing
-headlights will not pop up
Car is parked at parents house as I took it off insurance and parked it in their garage for the winter. I can take current pics next time I am up there or I can find some pics of the swap or just dated ones. Its not ragged out but it has the feel of a car thats been outside its whole life if you know what I mean. I am not even sure how much its worth (especially on the forums) given its condition as it has at least $1500 of performance parts alone but the paint and the engine troubles compound everything. I am torn on whether or not I want to let it go because of money invested and would need motivation, but taking a big loss in a certainty. $2500
UPDATED $1800 with exhaust, $1500 without
