Well I got my rx7 back cause the kid said there was too much wrong with it and he wasn't going to finish paying . So I have decided it will become a dedicated track car occasionally driven on the street .

I'm going to start with the basics

Complete interior removal
Basic suspension mods
New wheels and tires
Exhaust system *Has anyone heard what a buddy club spec II sounds like on a RX ?*
Intake

Here is what I have to start with

Eventually it will receive a turbo system
and maybe a nitrous kit for when I take it drag racing

Any suggestions please post

theres really no point in stripping the interior. it'll just be uglier and louder inside. if you're gonna do it, might as well do it right and strip all the sound deadening (lot of work with chisel and dry ice)
and dont skimp out on suspension, unless by 'track' you just mean drag racing.
start with bushings and adjustable alignment parts to get the most out of it. coilovers on 20 year old OEM bushings and a bad alignment is a waste

I have to agree if you want to do the suspension right for a dedicated track car rip the rear subframe down and do it all.

I just finishined my suspension and it was a bitch but well worth it.. Glad I did EVERYTHING..

as for the interior I have to agree there to if this is a road racer u dont have to be light, yrou car needs to handle and be smooth (slow cars can get FTD on a road race course)

if this is gonna be a drag car then until u go turbo I see no reason to make it all that special since an N/A rx7 down the track will produce slow times. (unless u BP or something)

the interior looks good, save the interior and enjoy driving it WHILE u enjoy it at the track.

about 70% of people who pull the interior for their "track" car actually never take their car to the track

if I pulled the interior out of the car I would nuke it because I have been in a car with NO interior and OMG it is horribly annoying, loud, irritating, and just not comfortable.

Remember you need to be able to think when driving on the track, with the noise that bad it may be hard to concentrate.

Picked up some parts over the weekend . Got a vented headlight cover , S5 gauge cluster rewired and installed , Racing Beat header and cat-delete pipe , New front bumper since mine was busted , And a blown 13b to start workin on this weekend I'm gonna go pick up a TII hood , and maybe order a new exhaust

Right now I only got pics of the header
