What are the options for carpets these days?

I know there used to be a group buy on RX7club, but I forget the company's name. I think the contact's screen name was "TFEnt", but not surprisingly RX7club has deleted all the relevant threads.

www.auto-interior.com also sells carpet for the FD and it only costs $115. A mass backing option can be added for $60. The carpet is cut pile (doesn't match OEM) and I believe it is manufactured by ACC. There is one short review on RX7club with a couple pictures: http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=724031&highlight=carpet. The carpet doesn't look half bad, especially for $115, but the fitment is off in a few locations.

High quality floor mats and rear carpets are available from Jason as advertised on this forum. Current prices are listed in his sub-forum.

Does anyone have the contact info for the carpet supplier in the last RX7club GB? Are there any other options out there?

I will probably end up with the auto-interior.com carpet as my car is progressing into a track car and I have been caring less and less about the interior/exterior.

Thanks :)

It definitely looks better in pictures that were taken 10+ ft away. lol There are imperfections in the paint and the interior is falling apart (I'm working on fixing some of that now). But overall the interior/exterior are in MUCH MUCH better shape than when I bought the car ~6 years ago. I am slowly bringing it back to good condition.

The horrible stereo install is the main reason most of the interior is damaged (thanks to the first owner). It looks like they handed a 3 year old some wire, wood, glue, and a hammer and said "go to work!".

So apparently I'm an idiot and I just don't know how to search very well.

Here is the link for TFEnt's carpet GB which appears to still be running:

For some reason nothing came up when I searched under his username...

I ended up ordering a black carpet through TFEnt on RX7club. It was delivered today and I am happy with the quality so far.

However, I did notice that the carpet and mats TFEnt sells are also manufactured by ACC! If you go on ACC's website (www.accmats.com) you can order the 501 or 601 material carpet with mass backing for $275 shipped. Regular cut pile is cheaper, and you could probably order through www.auto-interior.com for an even cheaper price (they sell ACC carpet as well). You would need to call and ask how much they charge for the 501/601 OEM style carpet.

I do feel a little ripped off, lol. Although I did receive great customer service and fast shipping. And TFEnt's carpet includes the rear mat for $479 shipped (now $499), but you could just buy this through Jason.

They actually used my FD as the mold for that carpet. They gave me the carpet (including hatch carpet) and installed it for free because of that. They also gave me free floormats but it took about a year to get those. I have the OEM style carpet, and the quality is pretty good overall I guess, but the fibers pull away from the loops kinda easy. Along my driver's side door sill, it's real fuzzy because of all the fibers pulled out.

Being that mine was the first and it was free, I don't have the little protective panels like the later carpets and like the stock carpet had (next to the gas pedal so your foot doesn't wear through). I wish mine had that, but oh well, it was free!
