Lets see how this thread turns out.. Please be professional and lets keep the BS to minimal.

Just as the title says.. Post things about FD you didn't know before and just learned about..

I just learned today that benefit of using 99 turbine housing for BNR stage 3 conversion is because it has added nickel to help with the cracking isssue.

I just love reading Kevin's, Chuck's, and Barry's comments. I feel like I learn something everytime one of those guys post.

I didnt know until recently that the Mazda Bongo Van 4.7 final is what Amemiya and others use for their Final gear upgrades. (it is not a direct bolt in)

I didn't know until recently that the FD shift lever has a rubber bushing inside that allows it to flex a bit.

Guys over here cut their shifters and weld them solid. Although it is not a very common thing to be done.

I didn't know until recently that there is no such thing as a 99 spec oil cooler duct!

I didn't know until recently that GTR 34 wheels look great on FD's.

Did you know that the PFC actually switches over to both injectors at about 47% duty cycle even though we are told that it is 40% and the DL injector Pri/Sec Transistion (%)setup is at 40%. Maybe an Apexi program error? That is why my PFC tuning notes and I have posted that you should change it to at max 30% which will then logs at 37%. Helps to a smoother transition even with stock injectors.

Did you know that the DL injector Sec Transistion (ms) is too large and what we were told on how to change it for larger secondaries was wrong. For 550 primaries, no matter which secondary size you run, use .100. Actually going smaller does not have any affect as the programming limit has been reached.

All of this is in my notes along with logs that prove this infromation.

hey i have a question for you how do you go about changing on the commander when the secondaries come on? do you need the dataloggit? or is just the commander able to do this? i have the PFC but havent learned to much about changing things yet, ive only just used it as a monitor for stuff.

Chuck's tuning notes will help out with learning to tune the PFC and Phil should have the video of last summer's seminar sometime later this year.

You'll need the Datalogit. To be honest you'll need the datalogit to do just about anything useful besides monitor or set your idle.

The Commander only allows injector size and lag adjustments. For the rest you need a datalogit.
