If you're in the Portland area and want to do a little racing and generally get to know some fellow members, come on out to PIR's Opening Weekend on Saturday March 8th. Drag racing starts at 6PM, goes until midnight. It's $25 to race, $7 to watch, and $20 for a year-long tech/racing ID (gets you a PIR # for 365 days so if you don't get one until June, it's good until June 2009).

I will be there with my 83 RX-7 GSL, and I have some verbal agreements from 3-4 other RX-7 guys local to the area.

there was some talk about a NW V8 meet in in June, the details haven't been worked out.

We have 4 RX-7's committed to being there already, they're all signed up on here as well. We'll get the ET List populated soon enough :D

I won't make this event, I have an educational endeavor that I'm pursuing first, then I'll have to get the car finished(long list of stuff to do, little $$ to do it).... and help my brother get his RX together. hopefully this summer we'll be able to make it to the track.

I look forward to seeing it! I have a nasty habit of engine swapping, and I love LS's, so an LS1 FC definitely interests me ;)

We had a great time! Josh came out with the candy-cane LS1 FC and threw 3 12.9's@114 down in a row, Spyder managed a 14.2 in his FD *coughdrivermodcough*, Mike and Jayce were swapping 17's back and forth, and their were a few other RX-7's there we didn't know. I put in 6 passes with a best of 16.722@80.65 (backed up with a 16.726@80.50). Other then a diesel truck stuffing the tire wall at the turn off and some idiot oiling down the top end of the right lane it was a good night. Pics coming...

That Forester has a full STi-spec swap on it and goes like crazy. Also driven by a hot chick ;)
