Next upgrades: Suspension overhaul, repaint (I'm thinking of a nice pearl white or black with pink flakes) and interior.

This car is my baby. We flew all the way from CA to Ohio to pick her up and she's been good to me ever since. It's the first car I've owned that I've actually loved. So, vote for me please :p.

no joke man, I'm not a fan of two-tone but your car looks sick. I can imagine 380hp in that car. Good luck man.

We have a real battle going on here!

Rogue_Wulff

Since others are listing their mods, I spose I could as well. It's no power monster, just the basic stuff to make it go/woah better. It's certainly no garage queen, as I don't have a garage.
The car is driven almost daily, and autocrossed frequently. In fact, twice in the last 2 days, which is why I haven't been online all weekend. It's also been around a few road courses over the last few years.

1983 GS
Stock intake & carb, topped with a ReSpeed Rotor design air cleaner (no longer offered, 1 of 5? made)
RB header to stainless pipe and muffler
FC FMOC
GSL rear diff and rear discs
Stainless braided brake hoses
Custom front strut bar
Ground Control coilovers with Eibach racing springs
15 x 7 Ronal wheels, wrapped with 205/50-15 Kumho Ecsta SPT tires
213,000 miles
Working AC and cruise (both very handy for summer road trips)
Glass moonroof

The paint and interior have been redone, but both could use a little more attention. It has a decent Sony CD player, to help keep me entertained, when I bother turning it on.

I believe the nomination thread is the place to post your mods.

It does look like me and lwnslw have a battle going on. Just like the thread suggest, FB vs FC!

I might be able to get more money on resale though after you guys trick your rides.

Ooops, thanks for vote Nic. But you're likely to see the red 7 at VIR. That's the one my daughter is driving down. Don't know if I can convince the wife to drive the black 7 or not. Plus burning three tanks of gas is heavy now days.

I'm still undecided on who to vote for. While my heart says to go for the turbo FB, 20B's have a certain appeal. Boosted 20B's, on the other hand, are the stuff woody's are made of........

I dunno about anyone else, but I've never felt right voting for my own stuff.

I realize that I messed up on setting the close date for the poll. So it will stay open until the end to give people a fair shot at voting. Use the extra few days to decide!

BTW.... This was during my build up. I am sure if I get under there now it will require some touch up do to th 2K plus miles added to her since completion. Either way, I know it was done....:)

lwnslw, is your coil spring just sitting on metal? I don't see a rubber spacer in there at all at the bottom.

btw: now you can tell all your friends you beat a 20b :) congrats

Rogue_Wulff
10-01-2008, 02:03 PM
There never was a rubber isolator under the spring. Only at the top.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
As mentioned ... 1st gens don't have rubber isolators on the bottom perch only on the top where it meets the body.

As for beating a 20B..... I feel priviledged...:icon_tup:

I think it may actually be a close race depending on how much power you are putting down... I dynoed at 383 HP to the wheels and weighed in at 2200lbs...
The one time I took it down the track it posted a 13.32 @ 117mph. lots of wheel spin and street tires size 215/40/16. If I get traction I think it may be an 11 sec. ride...:driving:

Congrats lwnslw. That is a nice car.

I guess a few people felt love for my car, due to the action shot. I feel priveledged just to get votes, against this kind of quality competition.
