WTT or FS: TEIN RA Coilovers

Looking for interests:


- Trade with other coilovers such as STANCE with 8/6 Spring Rates 16 or more Damper Adjustability, Camber Plates, Pillow Ball, Etc. Basically 'similar' features as Tein RA with lower Spring Rates. -

- 10/8 Spring Rates
- 16 Way Damper Adjustability
- Camber Plates
- Pillow Ball Mounts
- Spring Helper
- Like new, barely used. HAHA. Just kidding.
About a year/half usage on streets only.
- There is nothing wrong with these.
- Photo shows front and rear. All four can be requested but they all look alike.
- Car can be dropped to the floor. (for some people who's concerned about that)
- If no trades. I'll sell for $699.99 :)
- or other set can be had from others for more $ and some with less but needing rebuilds.

I'm confident to say that these are higher/better quality than Stance,Megan,Other Teins and such...but I'm willing to trade for lower spring rates. If not I'm also selling or I'll just keep them, no worries.

Are these rebuildable? A year and a half of street driving is quite a bit of time. Is it using the standard 12K miles per year? more? Where are you located?

I'd be interested if these were rebuildable and you take $500 for them.

Tracked coilovers are worst, but they're just regular ol highway driven and it's not the regular 12k/yr miles whatever that is. I have 3 cars and a motorcycle.

Have you seen the coilovers being sold in the forums? They're pretty trashed and needing rebuilds yet they still cost about 6 - 800 dollars.

yeah, I mostly see them trashed when sold used and it's dangerous to buy them based on looks so I tend to not want to buy used items like this.

dude you can just replace the springs if thats the only reasons you're selling them.
lots of companies make springs in every length and rate, and can be found wherever. summit, jegs, ebay, etc

I have another car with Apexi N1 Pro. I replaced the springs with Swift.
It's known that the Apexi N1 Pro are interchangeable. I'm not sure about teins. I know some about these things but I'd guess that these coilovers (the good ones :) ) are probably designed to work with certaing damping/rebound/compression and spring rates. I'm just guessing here but I think it makes sense. Swapping out springs is probably not good unless the coilovers allow it.

Thanks for the info. maybe you can point me to more research/discussion about this and i'll just decide to do so if Noone wants these coilovers.

Yup. Best bet is to buy brand new ones. 1200+ and up.
I paid over 2k on my Apexi and around 1.5k on these if I remember back then...

Basically I got that "it's ok" reply.

So im also looking at swift springs..

theres nothing wrong with dropping spring rates. run lower settings on the dampers then you normally would, or just drive it to find the ideal.
the only prob is raising spring rates- go to high, and they can blow the dampers prematurely.
on my flex's, tein says you can go up or down 2kg, and still be within the dampers' working range. i dont see why HA's would be any different. its just a shock with a spring on it..
and the springs themselves are generic 2.5" ID coils. just pick your length and rate.

These are tein ra by the way. not tein ha. higher class than ha :)

Also going softer the 8/6 is probably not a good idea either from 10/8

How would you go about removing/replacing the springs on these?
I'm thinking from the top comapared to stance where it looks like the bottom piece can be unscrewed by hand.

I'd just send them to Tein in downey ca get them rebuilt and revalved if your trying to go stiffer or softer depending on the way you want to go. Tein also offers different springs too. I know you can do all that with the Tein Super Drifts which I have. Just my opinion.
