Here's my first RX8 contribution to this website.

Quick back story is that I started to rebuild the renesis from my old turbo RX8 (which was sold to a friend, who then bailed on the entire project and let the car go).

When I researched online to find some info on tearing down a renesis, I found a few good links, but not much. So, I decided I'd do my own with pics. I setup a blog to document it, but I'm going to move that content onto this forum in hopes it might drive some more traffic for others looking to do this. The full blog is at http://one320b.blogspot.com/ but I'm not updating anymore since the project is bailed on.

Starting with a full long block (hopefully maybe these pics will help you hook up a missing connection or two..)

I started tearing down the upper side.

For now, I'm going to post these pics up. I took pics of EVERYTHING just so I could refer back to them and make sure all vac lines, electrical connectors, factory clips, etc were in the right place.

I find it easier sometimes to locate something by looking at a photo then reading a book.

I apologize as the images are somewhat blurry when you blow them up...

Continuing teardown...

If you have questions about something, let me know or refer to the blog link for now. At some point I'd like to organize these and have an official writeup.

Cleaned the photos up so they arent as blurry...

^ There you have it. I'll get the rest of my pics up and between what Kevin probably has written and the photos I've taken, you should be able to tear down and put back together a renesis easily.

I give mazda credit though too, they made the renesis IMHO easier to dismantle than earlier 13Bs.

^ I didnt have to remove the engine/trans, so I couldn't speak to that. I feel as though the actual long block tear is simpler.
