my current daily driver, a 1987 Turbo II, has decided that the oil running to the turbo is no longer need to be contained and now throws it where ever it wants, including all over the compressor housing.
So im looking into the BNR rebuild, but not really sure where i want to go with it. Once i take the car off daily driver duties, ill be using it as a weekender/fun car and registering it with collectors plate so emissions will not be a concern.
Being that i usually try to plan ahead on things, i will be eventually running a streetported engine once the current one is tired.
I was thinking about just going with the "stage 4" and call it a day, but i would like to get some insight from the man himself.

The man himself! Don't try and make my head inflate :).
Alright, what I need to know is how much boost and RWHP you are aiming for... From there i will see which one meets your needs. If the power is more than a hybrid can give, I will just point you in the right direction.

Stage 1 or 2 will reach your goals.

Hey Chris.
The Stage 4 has a P trim turbine wheel and the factory turbine housing is machined to fit that P trim T4 turbine wheel. The Stage 4 is a full T4 turbocharger that is fitted to the stock turbine housing.
The stage 3 is a clipped stock turbine wheel which hits restriction at around 350 RWHP depending on how far you clip it. P trim can give you 30-50 RWHP gains with the right set up!

The FD stage 3's are not anything like the S4 or S5 RX7's. The twins smaller frame turbochargers that have made over 400 RWHP on many cars and some up to around 425 RWHP.
