I just got off the phone with the owner of No Limit Industries and he said he's interested in building the Dual Resonated MP for the 8.
He could definitely beat Mazsport dual resonated MP and do a GB for 375-400 ish..
Let me know if you are interested and I'll donate my car as a test subject!
It will be pretty much the same as mazsport version with RB Medium resonators and all. All Stainless!

I may be interested. Are you going to do some dyno data? Also, what size are they gong to be, 2.5" or 3"?

Its going to be 3"in. My guy is going to see if he could source it thru RB or another company.. But its going to be 3in... It could be cheaper if he can source it for cheaper or we have more people interested in this.. Please pass on the word!!!

Cool, Ill try to pass it around. Since my current exhaust is 2.5" (Hymee), would I need to upgrade to a larger exhaust or just suffer some power loss compared to a full 3" setup?

I'd be in if it's a full 3" all the way.....

will 3" benefit the NA renesis?
^Honestly, it could either way. I have the HKS 3" Hi-power cat back and my numbers actually went up. I'd be willing to buy this midpipe, especially since I want to start adding more 2-stroke.

I would be curious if they could keep the sound down like the MazSport midpipe.
I know a guy who had the Agency Power dual resonator (yes dual... not their single) midpipe and ended up selling it for MazSport's because the sound was still too loud and raspy.
I personally have the MazSport Dual Resonated midpipe and would love for someone to come up with a cheaper alternative.

Did anything come of this? With Mazsport gone now.. a void has been left open. If someone can make a dual resonated midpipe that compares to mazsports sound deadening and quality (no rasp) that would be good for all..
I'm in for under $400.

Phil talked to me about it and I agreed to build these if there was enough interest. Phil had some contacts for the resonators, but nothing has been brought up to me within the past few months. We can still build these, just need to get things in order.

I just informed a friend of mine looking for a midpipe for his RX8 hopefully he comes thru and joins RCC soon.

On the RX8Club forum, someone is in communication with Racing Beat to create a dual resonated midpipe.

^that would be me :)
Their ETA is Feb 2009 with a superior design than mazsports.

I revisited this info today and received some pricing. I can get the hi-flo, ultra quite polished stainless resonators, flanges, tubing (which I already have plenty on hand), O2/wideband bungs (also plenty on hand), gaskets, and stainless mount...weld it all up and I think we can be in the $375-400 range. Full stainless, full 3". I would really like to have a stock piece on hand for building the jig and we can run from there. Anyone interested in letting us use one for jig fitment in exchange for a reduced price, or possibly free, MP?
For the pricing above, I would need at least 10-20 buyers for that price reduction. Otherwise, it would be in the $425-475 range for single purchasers. I will check some of my other sources on some of the items to see if I can get a better price break. I'll update soon.

you can have my car to do the work but i don't want the Dual Resonated
I have since decided against the dual reso pipe, I just had a full 3" SS cat delete pipe constructed using RB flanges, O2 sim, and install for $125. I hope you guys get the group buy. Sorry I won't be joining in.

I just laser cut a small batch of the 2 bolt flanges today and plan to run the 3 bolt flanges Monday. It appears that I will have a donor car to use soon, thanks to a local owner and good forum member. Thanks Hobby! I am expecting a few of the resonators in early next week for review. If they meet quality requirements, I'll build a prototype and see where our costs will come out looking like. Stay tuned!

425-475 seems pricey

I'm interested in getting one in the next few months. Racing Beat has said that they are going to start making them, but I'm sure their price will be comparable to Mazsports. If someone releases one with a bung already welded in for an AFR/EGR sensor so I didn't have to have to take it and have a muffler shop do one and get all the shaving inside of it, they'd definately get my business.

you don't need an extra bung for the wideband...use the one that is used to monitor the cat. since you are deleting the cat, it makes that o2 sensor useless. you will throw a CEL either way.

Is there any way that bungs could be built in for the o2 sensor or other sensors. Yes, I know the o2 sensor would throw a cel, but we could always to the fooler mod.

gotta love more options!
The RB one sounds very promising but this could also be another good option for us.
can't wait to hear reviews
